hash oil

So I will be using my trimming and some bud to make hash oil. Which is the most effective method. I was going to do butane in a cylinder or let it sit in high percent alcohol and then let it evaporate. Which method create better product? Which method have you tried and did it work well on your first try?

what i do is i take some oil and put it in a pot and take my trimming's and such and cook it till it's brown then i strain it through a cofee filter but it depends what your useing the oil for and such i sujest looking round on the forum's.

91% isopropyl alcohol works good if you're not in a hurry and you don't have much money.

butane will do a good job fast but you need to keep on it and make sure you're doing it in a well ventilated area.

Thanks guys. I decided to use non-denatured alcohol (bacardi 151). it is currently soaking. I found a method online of soaking the bud in rum or vodka for 24 hrs and then letting the alcohol evaporate from the mixture. Hopefully it works. I used half a 5th of 151 and an ounce of trimmings/bud. The bud is thoroughly soaked.
