Hashberry n00b grow.

Ive had these clones in a veg cycle for roughly 6 Days now, at first the clones were nothing to look at it, so i didnt bother with pictures. Below were taken today.

Here is a better look at my closet. The lights are 3 250 watt chicken lights we found at our local agway. they each have a splitter. the 2 lights on the outside have the 23 watt cool white, 4 total. the reflector in the middle holds the 2, 27 watt daylight bulbs.

in the 4 ft shop lights are 2 ott-lite daylight fluorescent tubes a piece. after looking on the package and the internet i cant find the wattage of these things anywhere!

when it comes to flowering i was thinking about removing the top cfl's and installing a 400watt hps.

it seems that a lot of people are raving about LST. should i hold off? this is my first indoor grow? or is it simple enough that i could do it this time.

im also interested in some nutes, but im overwhelmed by all the choices i have. as for a soil i will be using a peat, perlite blend, or even pro-mix.

i eventually would like to take a cutting or two off each plant so i can start them in veg.

any suggestions off the top of your head, or questions for me please indeed participate. thanks again for all the info ive taken in while enjoying this site.

plants are growing well, each have almost added an each with a bunch of leaves. they be very stinky too. it kinda makes me horny haha

as far as nutes go im leaning towards organic, but im not sure of the measurements when it comes to making a guano tea. i will do some research but id like to hear from the community on their experience with this form of nutrient.

thanks :)

Check out my post for some LST action of my own and some of other peoples pics they posted in it.

https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/79081-showing-off-some-lst.html

It is a great idea if you want better yields in my opinion. Im still a newb so to speak being this is my first grow and Im using bagseed but if you want optimal amounts of colas, it seems LST is the way to go. It allows for not only more bud sites but more light penetration to the lower branches.. Check out my pics on that link or in my grow journal in my signature..the plants are only about 8-9 inches tall but look allot bigger from overhead. Good luck, I will be watching this one!

I know a couple of ppl growing hashberry on this site, one is at your stage- a newb and with seedlings, but the other jason is a badass grower from south korea with a killer crop of hashberry. Mclovin is the newb and i posted his link, with in that is a link to jasons, you should talk to the both of them, spec. jason- he has a lot to teach you about hashberry- and some great budporn to boot!

im not sure how much longer im vegging for and i think since this is my first time, and due to a little financial constraints im going to try and flower with the cfl's.

im not sure how many more ill need if any,or wut kinds.

also thinking about going with a more powerful fertilizer than bat guano tea. since im not gonna get the hps yet. any suggestions?

nothing else has really come up, we had a few hot days before the ac was in the house so i kept closet door open to keep it under 90. i may have to figure out a way to get cooler air in there before flowering, just in case. the room next over the air conditioner in it, so i may get the power drill out.

as promised, a couple pics. both are stinky, the plants not the pics!

thanks for reading.

yeah you need to lower temps asap, and transplant soon...

Do you have a soil recipe or do you use store bought one bag soil...?

transplant soon? why? they have been in these cups for like 3 weeks max. they arent anywhere near being root bound.

i will probably go with premieres pro-mix.

This is a good soil recipie I have gotten along the way, IDK who originally wrote it- but this is its copy and paste form, not trying to plagerize... but i forgot the name- if your reading take credit and it will be given!

NEVER USE MIRCALE GROW!!
To all my fellow growers. Never use anthing but your own soil mix. Wal-mart sells Super Soil (basic soil) they also sell perlite (white balls for spacing). I went to my local pet supply store and got bat guano (10-3-5) then i got earth worm castings (12-6-3) for a 100% soil mix you need a mixture of 50-60% super soil, 15-25% perlite, 15% worm casting mixed with bat guano, then i got 10% sand (also sold at pet shop) you could use concret mix, but sand is prefured, and oh yeah! dont use beach sand, it contains salts....always spray your roots with nutes when you transpot your stuff.
Just a thought, G'luck
P.S. I also had like less than 5% pre-mix (found this at Wal-mart, but then i couldn't find it anywhere but Pet Stop)
And if the (%) thing throws you off, den start off with cups (out of ten = 100%)

I have herd pro-mix is too thick and makes it impossible to flush, doesnt have enough drainage... things like pearlite make drainage much easier...

And LSTing is great, but you have enough verticle space by the look of it, why not just top or fim and let them grow tall to get bigger yields, lsting keeps em short and gives a smaller yield.

Transplant, cuz its never to early really- and its a bitch when you wait till they are root bound, you can destroy roots and damage plant easily...

But if its only been 3 weeks ur prly ok for sure...

Will be following, looks good so far...

from my experience your chancing more mold and over watering when putting a small plant into a pot too big. honestly root bound isnt bad but just stunts growth. a root bound plant is easier to work with rather than an over watered or moldy plant.

also if you are root bound, pulling apart the bottom, with just a finger into the root ball will help more than you can imagine. dont go nuts, just a little tick;le it works wonders and promotes growth in outter directions.

so its been a long time. there wasnt much to add just some slow vegging. and a small battle with spider mites. i used some organic safer soap and it cleared them right up. im on guard for anymore returning.

ive been flowering for about 20 days. im quite proud of myself. this is my first indoor try and i have 2 large flowering plants and as you can see in the pics. 4 more hashberry's ive cloned. also 2 other clones off some of my outdoor plants. (trying to sex them.)

the clones i have flowering already but when they get big enough i wanna take a cutting off one of them and turn it into a mother plant.

im very impressed and frankly astonished at wut these cfls can do!

i havent really gotten into much for nutes, other than the same tea ive been using for my porch monkey grow. its just peroxide, and composted manure. seems to be working well in both grows. when ive got the basics down ill get into more powerful nutes.

any tips or questions will be eagerly accepted.

once again i apologize for taking so long to update again but there wasnt that much to see anyway!

thanks!

why grow without buying 30 dollars of nutes, that 30 dollars will have paid itself off with an extra quarter of bud easily. Get some good nutes made for some good plant, you took the time to buy or obtain quality seeds- do it as quality as you can, if you didnt wanna do that you should have just expiremented with bagseed- but why let such good genetics not reach their full potential, thats like 2 supermodels having a baby but deciding it would be cheaper to raise a baby without legs.

"Why would a 6 ft tall wookie choose to live on a planet full of a bunch of 3 foot ewoks, it doesnt make sense, it doesnt make sense"

i hear wut your saying. i understand your concern

these clones were free. there will be more. i have plenty of other factors to worry about at this time.

plus my tea seems to be working just fine. id like to get into a whole set of nutes next time but since this is my first indoor. ill be fine.

also if i were to switch to some more powerful nutes, wouldnt that be harsh on the plants. since its almost been a month flowering?

im not gonna argue about bag seed, i have a bag seed crop. all mersch!

why not give me some advice other than "get better lights"? its a cfl grow with the proper colors and wattage.

yeah it is my first indoor grow, ive had spider mite issues and im not using any high impact nutes, so yeah my buds are gonna be a little behind.

gimme credit where its due my friend, you know my crystally nugs look great!

luck with your grow, i hope you have resin filled "big buds" but this is your first indoor grow too, who are you to wave your finger?
