Hatfield's and the McCoys

Surprised theres not a thread about this yet.

So i watched the mini series and gotta say its pretty good. Im sure its not 100% accurate, but there is alot of history in this. So whats your thoughts?

It was very well done. But goddam, that fucking "ICE ROAD TRUCKERS!" that was constantly on the upper right corner of the screen really distracted me from the show. I can fast forward thru the ads, but not that.

I watched it in demand so either there wasnt any ads during the movie or i didnt pay attention to them. And just fast forward it through the commercials.

i used the dvr and recorded it and fast forward the commercials. i really liked it and they did a good job at making it so neither side was better or worse than the other. i suppose there was tention between them before the actual feud. kinda silly it starts with a so called stolen pig, but i guess i would still be a hatfield fan.

To me the hatfields were greedy. It started more from the McCoy brother being killed supposedly by a Hatfield. And just snowballed from there. I agree it was very well done.

I liked it...just caught up on y dvr last night...would have been better if it were like a deadwood for 2 seasons but I enjoyed it...both families fucked up..one disowns daughter and the other was going to kill their son. Tom berenger looked the part but his accent was awful.

It was AWESOME! I prefer the Hatfields to the McCoys. Randall was a whiney little bitch who was envious of "Devil Anse" Hatfield's success in the timber industry. He had a LARGE family to take care of! I'm not mad at the guy for being a "business man".:blsmoke:

I thought parts 1 & 2 were very good but part 3 sucked big time. 1&2 were more like a documentary that was belivable and part 3 was like a shitty made for tv movie

I'd heard that it was referent to a diamond called the McCoy. However I'm not finding any info to corroborate. I was fished in by a pre-Internet version of a blog post. cn

I can't believe I watched this thing for 3 nights and then it had such a lackluster ending. It's almost like they ran out of money and had to it stretch.
