Have been using BT for 3-4 weeks now. Buds still rotting?

One of the 8 top colas on my master kush has a tinny segment of it that is rotting. It looks exactly like when caterpillars eat your buds and then moisture gets in and rots the buds.

This is my only plant that is showing any signs of rotting. No other part of the plant is doing this, and I have already ripped off the bud that was rotting. When I pulled it off I noticed the inside of the stem was brown.

Like I said I have been spraying BT with the max dose using tap water that I put the same thing you put in a fish tank to take all of the chlorine and other metals and shit that might be in the water that would kill your bacteria in the tank. So I know the water is not what is the problem.

I have seen this before on a previous auto flowering plant but after I removed the bud nothing happened since. So I am guessing nothing will happen this time.

My guess is that a caterpillar died and rotted inside of the bud, or it was left over excrement from a caterpillar and that rotted the buds.

Anyone have any ideas?

Except there are NO more caterpillars on my buds, because the BT killed them.

It sounds like you might be overspraying, further inducing the bud rot? You really have to use about 20ML/GAL of that BT for it to be anywhere near effective.

I'm assuming this is an outdoor grow with caterpillars around like you mentioned? I saw BT mentioned and I had just unsuccessfuly used it to kill fungus gnats and root larvae. I ex'd the BT and used Spectracide: One and Done. Root drench and they were gone for good. But it looks like you have a different predicament.

20 ML is a double dose, the recommended is 1-2 teaspoons. 20ml would be 4 teaspoons. I only spray once a week, but your guess is just about right. I am almost positive all that happened was the moisture from the spray had gotten to an already eaten part, which then causes the bud rot. After about 20 minutes of searching on google I found that answer which was similar to my guess.

The reason why BT didnt work for fungus gnats is because it is very species specific. Meaning it really only works on caterpillars, worms, and small grasshoppers. basically anything that munches the leaf and bud foliage. All fungus gnats really do is spread disease by landing on your plants and using them as a living area.
