I know what you mean mate some have said top them some said don’t lol I have some seeds I have just cracked I’m just going to let them grow on there own see how they go
If you dont do any training they will look like these. They werent bad plants but they could have been a lot better with LST.IMG_1500.JPGIMG_1502.JPGIMG_1504.JPG

Well I hit the main cola on mine and two more larger spots. Guess we will see!

Do you have previous grows to compare to OP. Sorry if you said this already I don’t remember.

Looks more like you manifolded it ... Autos hate high stress training as they cannot recover that quickly as a reg plant.
Stunting is a possibility as it may think it’s damaged . Autos are plug in play , plant them and let them be.

However there are methods to “ shape “ them .... simple tie down. “ Some “ autos can be topped ( once ) but not all.
Stalling an auto leads to less than stellar yields as it tries to limp to finish , some never move and have to be forced flipped.
Autos just want to grow and flower under its OWN schedule , muck that up with stress , overwatering, overfeeding and
Hopefully by once u mean multiple spots one time lol. That’s what I did. I guess we will wait and see. Hopefully I didn’t wreck my yields. Correction “we” didn’t wreck our yields.

Man those pictures looked great. I could tell he topped them (HST) that’s why I asked. I don’t know if it was luck or great planning but they looked like some good spots. I know you’re not supposed to HST autos but I just finished a couple grows and didn’t top them on purpose. A few ripped off on accident. The plant seemed to recover very quickly but that was only one spot.
I topped one of mine and it is doing great, I don’t know about doing it twice with an auto? Sorry if this has been mentioned already, just reading threw this thread now.

Off topic a little. What kind of trimming do you guys do throughout? Keep the bottom clean or let it go?

When u say keep it clean. Can you go into a bit more detail for a guy like me lol. Your plant looks great, I’m always worried about cutting fan leaves off and never know how much to go up on each branch like you have. Or how much to do in one trimming?
Thats the "art" side of growing. Im no pro, this is only my second year. Basically I just like to see some open space at the bottom of the plant. Some of my girls flowered so early there was almost nothing to cut from the bottom. Start small and see how things go. When Im ready to water, I pull each plant out, set it at eye level, and spin it around a few times and take off what I feel needs to go. Then I put them back and water them. A big part of how I decide what to cut is that if its getting almost no light, its doing the plant no good so it goes.

Same, some say leave them some say trim and HST them. That’s why we play the game. I will be able to see for myself what effects it has. I have a good size HPS for my grow room so it should have plenty of light to recover.

I have two cheap LED from amazon one had two soil plants and one has two DWC under them? So I’m not as much of a gambler . But I super cropped one of my soil plants and it did well (I think) and is in flower. I never knew how it would pan out? I guess you learn as you go a lot as wellimage.jpg

My Blueberry Auto (12 days from seed) and Cheese Auto (15 days from seed) as of this am. 24hrs after their first LST. Used soft garden ties to anchor and pieces of metal clothes hangers bent in U shapes to pin top of plant bent over. Would not top them (autoflowers I mean, Photos are fine to get a lil rough with) ever or over stress them at all, I’m not gonna tie down side branches till they stretch up a few inches first. Give them a week to relax, I’ll probably be able to remove the metal pin as well. I’ve already removed the anchor tie already as you can see in some of the pics.
