Have my buds stopped maturing?

I have one plant outside right now, just waiting for it to finish up. I have pictures on another thread I made a few days ago.

The hairs on the buds are quite red, but not quite 50% or more yet. The temperatures have been about 50F in the day. Do you guys think the buds would keep maturing in these temperatures or would the cold stop their progress? I'm so eager to pick the buds but don't want to do it too early if they'll still get better.

Thanks

It's too cold. I've seen buds stall the maturing process in the winter. I just let them go aslong as possible and chopped.

Think it would be best to just chop it tonight? Will the potency get any better if I leave it for a few more days if they've stopped maturing or will it just stay as is?

No way they have stopped maturing unless they are frozen cock stiff, Rotten and decaying, or dead other than that they will go until they are done/dead/degraded.

You said the days are in the fifties, which is fine, that won't hurt a thing unless it's been raining a lot. What are the night time temps dipping down to? Have you had a frost yet?

It's going down to about 45 tonight. Says it will feel like 37 with windchill, I'm not sure which number the plants go by. No frosts yet that I know of. Will the buds just ripen super slow at these temperatures?

I wouldn't worry about lows in the mid 40's. I have some Blueberry plants that have already been through two mild frosts and plenty of nights dipping into the 30's. Blueberry can be finicky but so far all the cold has done is brought the purple colors full on. They keep growing in the cold, and sometimes mature sooner. I think colder temps in some instances tells them to hurry up and finish.

I have grown in the winter in So Cal and they grow smaller and sparser but they grow. Same with blooming, they will still continue to do their thing, just not as vigorous. They won't slow down, they just scale down. Leave em till their done or dying.

Dealing with the same type of situation. Im waiting as long as I can and will possibly move inside to finish if i have no other option.

Same temperatures except days can still be 60-70 and nights stay above 40. My hairs are brownish already and bud seems too small. Gotta hope for the best.
