Have questions on Blue Planet Nutes bloom boosters.

Hey RIU,

I'm new to growing and am researching what I'll be using should I decide to proceed. I was originally going to use Foxfarms Trio, but I have read a lot of good things both here and on other sites about Blue Planet Nutes.

I understand some of the basics behind nutrients but if you put a bunch of bottles in front of me, I would have no idea what is needed.

My question is, the 2-part base seems to have both the macro and micro nutes, while the 3-part elite has the grow, bloom and Micro all individually bottled. Would you recommend this to better control the Micro nutrients intake to avoid any potential micro-nute over-feeding?

What makes the 3-part better than the 2-part?

And my next question is the bloom boosters. The early bloom seems to have some macro-nutes in it, while the Liquid Blue Bloom does not. For you guys who use Blue Planet Nutes successfully, do you use all 5 (3 part elite - grow, bloom and Macro and both Bloom boosters) or would this risk a nutrient lockout due to a very high PPM since you're mixing 5 different nutrients?

Then there is the Root Magic Mycorrhizae which I have no idea what it does.

I have never used BPN nor will I ever use em(google the owner), aside from that, most everyone makes a good 3 part that can be mixed in any way needed, a good 2 part will work great but gives u fewer options on mixing, a 1 part cant be changed, it is what it is. A decent 3 part is great, dont need the boosters because you can tweek a 3 part to whatever u want.

HOLY SHIT. That is pretty bad.

OK, so... back to square one! Foxfarms Trio with some Calmag good for starters / noobs?
I got my start in growing with Dr. Earth soil n Jacks dynamic duo, worked great n was cheap, that was my first mj grow, I now run perlite hempys n have great results using GHs 3 part, lucas with GH, lucas with AN, ANs sensigrow/conni, Dynagrows grow/bloom, mixed my own with raw material, a complete organic run with Dr Earth, etc etc etc, didnt have bad results from any of em

I guess I'm too noob right now, because everything you just said went waayyy over my head. Would you agree that for a starter, who has no idea what she/he is doing, would be fine with FF Trio and some CalMag? FYI - growing in Coco medium with pearlite if that helps. Trying to understand the fundamentals and the WHYS before the WHATS and it's pretty difficult I'll say that. bongsmilie

GH is General Hydroponics. AN is Advanced Nutrients. Both different lines of nutes. But Foxfarm trio is great for beginners and experts. Good Luck

I wouldnt suggest Fox farm nutes or a coco medium for your first grow. Either a soil grow with Jacks classic or a 100% perlite hempy using a basic 3 part are both better options in my opinion n il leave it at that because im sick today n dont have the energy for a nute argument today, maybe tomorrow

Hahaha Google the owner! Hilarious! One article from lame ass 420mag... with no facts, just hear say? Give me a break! Show me an actual news article, not some piece full of hearsay. I have not found a single one that mentions BPN or Corey. I came from 420mag and was around when all that went down. The guys at 420 are known for typing up bullshit news articles. They make money by generating hits. Hell, even Huffington Post did a piece on 420mag for their shoddy journalism about the origin of the phrase 420. Corey had some kind of falling out with the owner of 420 and now all the sudden he's painted in some bad light, but notice its only on the 420 sight. Everyone else loves him. Public records are open to the public. I'll give you 50 buck if you can show me EVIDENCE that he was busted like they claim. Notice that forum you're reading from is blocked. Why? Because they dont want to have to subject themselves to people not so gullible who want them to back up their far fetched claims. If they were open and legit journalist, they would be open for questions or counterclaims. It's clearly a hit piece, because the guy running that sight has some kind of beef with the guy from BPN.

Anyway...

I've been using BPN for over 2 years and love those guys and their nutes. I just ordered the High Yield System, so I'm about to start using the Root Magic , Seaweed, VitaBlue, and Early Bloomer for the first time. I started with the organic line but since then have been using the synthetic 3 part plus the liquid blue. My friends use the entire line and you shouldn't have to worry about over fertilizing your plants if you follow the feeding schedule. From what Rob told me at BPN... I asked this question a while back about the diff between the 2 and 3 part. They are basically the same, but like you said, the 2 part has the micros in with the grow. So if you just follow the feeding chart, either one will be fine. But if you want a bit more customization then get the 3 part so you can control your micros more specifically.

Liquid Blue is killer stuff. All that potassium makes the buds super tight and heavy. The mycorrhizae is a natural fungus that helps the roots to absorb water and nutrients better. Supposed to be some good stuff. I'll let you know first hand in a month or two.

You can ask this guy some questions. He uses all the products you mentioned and seems very helpful: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/731315-blue-planet-nutrients-journal.html

But seriously, dont let some poorly written hit piece stop you from using some killer nutes that sell for low cost. I've used FoxFarm, General, and Advanced before finding BPN. I may find another company one day, but until then, I'm all about Blue Planet. Look at all the journals online for them. Everyone who uses them, loves them. Glad I found this thread to squash this guys nonsense. Pfft... chicken little running around telling people the world will end if they use BPN. ha!
