Have you ever gotten a variegated plant?

I almost culled it from the start. The other two phenotypes which came from the same batch of seeds, are not displaying any variegation at all, but they are growing ever-so-slightly slower than the variegated plant! Go figure! It's Tuna Kush which (I'm told) is originally from the Canadian growing scene and might be a phenotype from an old skunk strain. I've been searching for anything that can remind me of old school weed. This was supposed to have a reputation as being that type of strain. Even if it maintains the variegation throughout the grow, I'll still keep it as something of botanical interest to me.
I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago. One of my critical jack seedlings, new bag of pro-mix, new solo cups, etc. No way has come into contact with anything, and it had that extreme 50/50 variegation like @DMChiz has, but with the crazy nike swoosh leaves. I immediately thought wtf? How'd this get the vid? I tossed it right in the trash.

Then about a week later, I was looking at bandaid haze #7 and saw the same exact thing. I started doing some research, and come to find out, it's a trait seen in haze, and things like jack herer, piff, cuban black haze, etc. So I of course dug her out of the trash and she was still alive, and tall as shit (obviously, no light) but her main stem was twice as thick as her 4 sisters. Sadly the lower fans slimed off from being in the trash can for a week, but she's gonna make it. When she grows her leaves back, I'll post some pictures. Wildest variegation I've come across.

Awesome that you decided to keep it! Variegated plants are pretty rare, so it’ll be cool to see how it turns out. And if it ends up with that old-school smell—total win! Good luck with this little botanical experiment, let us know how it turns out!

Obviously excluding from a viroid source it tends to pop up in very inbred lines ive seen it in afghan landraces for example ain't saying it can't pop up in less inbred lines just that it is less frequent.

Just popped an old tga time wreck and it's variegated from the second set of leaves. Tiger stripes and speckles. The first leaves that came out were all fd up too like almost looking freakshowish. Now it seems the leaves are reg, the seeds are prob 15 years old...
