Ever-Clear is what i use and it is drink able or you can use Bacardi 151. I use Ever-Clear and its work grate.

Yes I was talking about everclear, a food grade ethanol. Perfectly safe to drink since they sell it at the liquor store and it's used in a lot of mixed drinks... makes a hell of a tincture. Especially after sitting for half a year, holly hell that shit is strong.

I was just wondering.... If you are making RSO with everclear, can you just boil the Pyrex in a double boiler on the BBQ? I was thinking as long as you are outside there is no way there will be an accumulation of alcohol vapor enough to explode. If you have the BBQ lid open there is plenty of ventilation. Come on guys BBQ your oil lol
ummmm use a flat electric frying pan...with oil in it. dont use water it will evaporate and you don't want the temp of boiling oil .. 
do not use an open flame..what ever you do..even outside.. or unattended
a cheap 30 dollar rice cooker does the trick...even a rice cooker can go up ...so you have to be dillagent
