I saw a documentary that was about people that went under the knife and felt everything, heard everything, but could not move or talk. As a result of the anesthesia not working.
Crows can even learn how to "talk" the way parrots do... I've done looking around in my area and I don't know if it's legal to have them as pets here... which sucks, because I really like them.
I'm gonna check craigslist anyhow.
Yeah Twisty!!! I have been reading on them since GrowTech mentioned them! I am impressed!!! Might have to get a Crow!!!!!!! I wonder if I can fit three birds in my avy? I know I can!!they're real smart..animal planet had a show and the crows were doing these block puzzles... funny stuff how stubborn they are...
I get the same way with the anesthetic, makes me really sick. The epidural does hurt, I can still feel the spot from where I had one 6 years ago, it gets a twitchy like feeling that tingles in it every once in awhile.i told the anesthesiologist that i wake up from being knocked out and feel really sh*tty. i usually vomit for the first hour or two after coming awake. so he gave me an epideral and then just put me under "a little bit". i was worried i would hear things. i didn't. i didn't wake up groggy but i was numb from the waist down for 2 days. not sure which was worse. tube in the pecker hurt, as well.
i was glad i was numb for a couple of days after i got my epidural after i gave birth to the second daughter.because the nurse tripped over my catheter!

I hate those....I had one and the stupid floor cleaners kept knocking it on the floor... I was worried one of the would step on it and blow my bag (sorry girls) up like a balloon....I was glad I was numb for a couple of days after I got my epidural after I gave birth to the second daughter.BECAUSE THE NURSE TRIPPED OVER MY CATHETER!
Poor fdd... going to have a psychosomatic (with reason) pain now .... time for a joint....now i feel it, thanks.![]()
I was just checking in to see how you made out.ok so i am a regular smoker, smoke everyday, usually 2-4 times per day. I'm going in for surgery today, at 11:30 am. I am kinda freakin out cuz all this stuff makes me so nervous. Im supposed to be getting general anesthesia. So waht I really want to to right now, is smoke to calm my ass down. But then I think hmmmm maybe smoking before surgery could be a bad idea?
So I google. and apparently, I'm gonna die
On a brighter note- since I have been smoking every single day anyway, it prob won't make a difference if I smoke right now?? One final toke before I go lol.
Anyone have experience as a toner going under? Did you stop smoking for a week beforehand or smoke that day? I want to know what to expect. I don't know if I should tell my doc or not, I don't want her to cancel the surgery. I really need it.
BTW they are not actually cutting into me, rather, snaking a tube up my...hmm lets not get into that. ANy advice ???? Thanks guys!!!
Glad everything went good!!! Get some rest I am sure your wiped out.Hey! I just wanted to let everyone know I survived!! thanks for all the good advice. i smoked before my surgery n it def helped chill me out and let me relax and mentally prepare myself.
I told the nurse, the doctor doing the surgery, and the anesthesiologist all that I smoked that day. The nurse seemed amused and asked what other name I could give her for "pot" (I said marijuana lol,) the doc was tot unfazed, and unconcerned and the anesth. lady was the only one who seemed a bit perplexed. She said something about asking someone something, disappeared, came back and asked me a few more questions about how much i smoke (for 10 years, 2x day etc..) and said i would be fine as long as i was not doing coke? I was like no drugs, no drinking, no cigs! I just smoke pot.
and all went fine. in fact the "appetizer" drug she gave me before i went totally under was quite wonderful! and the morphine after was nice : )
i wasn't really in too much pain but i figured wtf get what i can out of this experience.
certainly not a fun time but i made the best of it i';d say
night all!
