The nearest hydro store is about 2'30" drive. there, then again back. to be honest id rather not drive 5 hours for $100... id end up spending that on gas. but are you saying that this ballast is a piece of crap?

I got my 600 watt digital setup from HTG Supply. It was like two hundred bucks delivered in less than a week. Three days if I remember right. Anyway, I have her setup and it raises temps about ten degrees. Ballast has a very small hum to it with very little heat.

Love that company, they sell entire 400 set-ups w/fixture, bulbs, timer, and ballast for $200.

My 600 HPS had a 95,000 lumen high output enhanced spectrum bulb, switchable digital ballast, and fixture. It rocks! Quiet, the heat is manageable and if I could get this freaking site to post some pics I'd show you the results as they stand today. I've counted about twelve very nice colas on my MK getting bigger by the day.

You probably need to reduce your photo sizes, most message boards only allow a max of like 800X600...any larger sized pic file would throw the thread pages off-center.Yep, that digital 600 HTG set-up is only like 30 bucks more.

That shit looks coo. But keep in mind it most likely will be chinese.

For the amount of money you could but two t5 ballast and have a much lower electric bill as well as heat issues.

I thought about that but ive read they are hard to get good results unless you know what you are doing.. which for me, im sort of "winging" it. plus ive read that hps is the way to go? idk either way $20 extra on elec bill wont hurt me.

Also i agree about it being chinese but i dont mind if it comes with a 3 year warranty lol.

Good luck hunting down whoever is honoring that warranty. I wouldn't buy it based on the fact it has a warranty let alone will the product you get have an actual company name that is legit. You don't know.

HPS is the way to go if you have nothing to use that compares. T5's are not difficult IMO.

And if you are new, then t5's would be better. I know I am not ready to go to MH or hps yet.
