this is a AK48 seedling as you can see the first node is about an inch long do you think i should remove these leaves and the nodes and berry up to where the nodes are more tighter when i tranceplant thanks IMG_0638.jpg

You can't bury it or at least you shouldn't bury it past the cotyledon which are the very bottom and you are just about there now. Your stem higher up is still very soft and it is easy to rot it off at this point in time. I am not familiar with your strain but from the pic I would venture to say that your light is too far away causing stretch. Hope this helps.

I transplant mine past the cotyledons all the time, sometimes a node or two. the stem never rots on me.
Unless you have extremely wet soil you shouldn't have any problems.
It's sorta like soil layering to get a clone to root, but it's the whole plant.

I have one question for you GANJARULES.

With posts dating back almost 4 years have you actually learned anything in that time?

4 years just on this site alone and most of your questions that I see are pretty noob like.

In response yes you can bury as much of the plant as you want as long as you leave some growth above ground and don't over water.

Ya.. transplanting.. go up to the main leaves, a few inches down (assuming you haven't stretched the crap out of it)..

That main stem if you bury it and don't abuse it, will root out without hesitation.. it is dying to in fact. It wants to root into soil and provide as many nutes as it can to the whole system.. Be reasonable, but yes, Bury main stem on replant if you 'can'.

topfuel and jondamon let me explain my reply earlier. I know that you can bury that badboy up to the last node and with great success provided you know what you are doing. I propogate many different plants, shrubs, flowers, if it grows I what to know how to make more of them or give them better roots. That being said I was just looking at the pic, the question and asking myself how to make this person more successful without hurting the plant. First the soil looks very dark hence a sign that he either just watered or the person tends to keep damp soil. Two the plant is very stretched, sign of a noobie, then the question.
I guess I should have explained more in my reply but as both of you know, lol I can get long winded at times. :bigjoint:
