HBBum Ebb & Flow - F*cking Incredible R2

Just to keep myslef from getting confused when looking logging this grow I am starting this new thread to track my second run of Fucking Incredible. This will be my first run with a new flood and drain syste, with cuttings taken from 2 girls I currently have in flower in this thread:
https://www.rollitup.org/t/hbbum-going-hydro-f-cking-incredible-og.846446/

I used a cement mixing tray from Home Depot for the tray and 6" netpots with the entire tray filled with Hydroton. I put some pvc in the bottom of the tray with 1/16" holes drilled in that provides additional oxygen in the hydroton but pretty sure this is not needed.

Cuttings taken on 11/6 and put into a 1gallon aeroponic cloner:

By 11/22 the roots are getting tangled in the clone bucket so I decided to make a temporary veg area to stage these while my flowering tent is about 4 weeks in.

11/22:

Transplanted into the E&F tray with tap water and 1ml/gal GH 3 part PPM of 415. Since they have no rockwool, I am flooding every 3 hours while lights on for 3 minutes.

27 tote under tray with 10g of water/nutes:

Was still a work in progress for pics, the wires have been cleaned up. Lighting is a 90w UFO LED and 2 23w 6500K CFL. Once they grow up a bit, I will be covering the Hydroton with reflectix to help with evaporation.

Got a little 2'x4'x5 tent while these girls are in holding. Just a 90w LED and a couple CFL to supplement.

I added some reflectix over the hydroton to reduce any evaporation, though it seems minimal with the flood and drain.

If I can find a good deal on an extraction fan on CL, I may throw my 400W MH in the tent a couple weeks before my flower tent is ready for harvest. 2 weeks of 18-6 with MH, then 2 weeks 12-12 with MH then into the flower tent with the 600W HPS.

Nice, i just bought a few of those tubs yesterday. I was concerned about the roots having enough space to grow out....I was planning on lolipopping and cramming as many as possible.

Your plants look good, I would get them under that mh tho....

I want to put in the mh, but I am just trying h to keep them small and alive until I know when they can move to the bigger tent. I will probably wait until I have 1 week left on the flowering girls.

Screw it, I put the MH in last night anyway. I don't have a spare extraction fan for heat, so I had to do some "creative engineering", but temps are topping off around 78 so far.

I don't know yet. The moms are still in flower, tomorrow will be 7 weeks. I hope to be doing a New Years harvest.

I just trimmed these girls up today so they will be ready to flip the lights in a couple days.

I think after I go through this bottle of Flora Gro, I will be moving to Lucas Formula using just Micro and Bloom.

hb i like ur setup, nicely done.
Thanks, will decide if I like the table or the buckets moving forward.

Learning a lot about hydro in the process. So many different variations I could run different styles each grow for years it seems.

Flipped lights to 12-12 with the 400w MH today. Flowering girls are 7 weeks today, so should be able to transfer these to the bigger tent in 2 weeks.

The far left rear plant is a major runt. Not sure what the problem is (they all came from the same mothers). I don't know if I should just cull it now, or leave it be and see what comes of it.

So I have 2 of the plants that are runts and have curling and cupping leaves like this:

I am wondering if they are not getting enough water in the table. I am running flood every 3 hours for 3 minutes during lights on, then once during lights out. I think I will try upping the flood time to 10 minutes since these are just straight in the hydroton, with no rock wool to hold any moisture.

Also worth noting, I have a large number of single and double leaf fan leaves. So interesting since the mother did not show any of these traits, but was grown in a different hydro style, so I would assume it must be something they don't care for in how I have it set up.

Any suggestions?

Sucks, but I guess that is the advantage of doing more plants instead of a couple really big ones. I will keep an eye on them and either cull them or harvest them in a bit later than the rest.
