lol You make it sound like a lot of work. Using V +B (one part dry formula) one doesn't need to pay that much attention to pH, although it will depend on the pH of the water you begin with

I heard that if you can get a pair of Al Bundy's sox you can make one hell of an organic tea

Al Bundy's socks have holes in them so...

Quick Update

Will be moving Melanie's clones today to the hot5 tent. Note the color temp difference due to ~ 4000K over Melanie's clones v 2 @ 3000K over the shorter clones

IMG_2002.jpg

Just finished trimming most of what was left from Melanie
171gms trimmed.

Melanie still has ~ an oz left for my partner

While preparing the hot5 tent for Melanie's clones, first resetting the rez...

BRAIN FART (what took me so long?) Looking at my recir flooming rez, it occurred to me to move the magnets from being on the feed line (where only affecting nutes while passing through) to the recir lp pump tubing where nutes are pumping through 24/7. DOH

CK some are strips, others are flat panels ( 1 x 4, 2 x 4, 2 x 2) ~ 8mm thick

Thought I would post a pic of the cubes in place. This will allow LST type training

One can purchase dowels from Lowes/HD and cut to various sizes

Clones under the 2 ufos + 2 @ ~ 16w 3000K tubes were on the droopy side- not reaching up towards the lights. Late last night I swapped out the 3000K closest to the plant with a 5000K. Today, leafs are beginning to reach up. I gave them a trim before taking today's pic# 1.

Also, an update in my hot5 tent (pic 2-4): I am using the horizontal dowels up top to train the top branches
:hump:

Happy 2014. I am looking forward to what's ahead, although there are likely to be some major bumps along the way. Running threads helps me focus on the positive

Clones are doing well since culling the interior clutter; below canopy leafs and stems.

I dropped from 16 to 14 hours light 2 days ago. My plan is to keep nutes under 600 all the way through. I 'think' my magnet/flooming combination are making the nutes more effective. We'll see

Pic 1 is of the small pheno clones in the led tent. Curious to see how much their much bigger sister's bush- like canopy (Melanie) interfered with their mother's growth

Pics 2-4 are Melanie's clones under my 8 bulb hot5. Thought you would like to see how I am employing the cube cage

If I had the $$$$ I would have done this long ago, but I am dependent on a partner. We were speaking this morning, and he has not received the extra panel that was ordered > month ago, so am waiting for it

When are we going to see some photos of these 2 x 4 LED panels? Howz the new business going with them?

got confirmation a 1 x 4 @5000K panel will be shipped. I will be using it to create sales outside of mj, but there too

Also have a line on 28w tubes. When you think about it that compares to a 54w hot tube, as half of it is reflected. Alas, they're $70 each

Story of my LED life.... ;)

Do you have to bypass the T5 ballast for the 28w led tubes to work???? $70 a piece.....yikes

Ballast is bypassed. 2 types leads on one end and/or leads on opposite ends

Yeah the upfront cost is heavy, especially if you want to DIY ~ 100w. Makes panels like A 51 cheap by comparison, but if you are retrofitting a business or office the payback is quite a bit different, and likely tax benefits

I also have a 1 x 4 panel coming, though the price escapes me

Tent temps mid 80s

Think you've got it all dialed in?

Do you have a spectral and lumen output meter to routinely test older bulbs?

That ability would go a long way to maxing yield for each grow

I have heard hand held meters start at ~ $500

Certainly worth it for larger growers
