Heat Attack? Or Airflow Problem? Plant absolutely looks F***ED

Basically, my friend rearranged his grow tent today and put the fan in a different place and forgot to switch from lowest power to full and basically all of the leafs have curled up and it just looks terrible, im thinking it was because of the heat that got generated up in there without the fan on.

Does this sound like heat attack?

yup sounds like it got too stressed...the conditions changed too rapidly...maybe when he rearranged it. if you can just get everything back to normal and just let it chill out it should be fine

sounds like you got a decent answer already... Thing is, there's nothing you can do to turn back time, so continue to do the right things and it will recover as much as it can (it wants to grow after all :D). I'm a noob to these particular plants, but have been gardening for years, and am an expert at keeping corals and photosynthetic aquatic life, and oftentimes these sorts of 'shock' reactions are from sudden changes, not necessarily the conditions themselves. Correct the issue that caused the problem, get them back closer to what they are used too. I'm not aware of any magic formula that will correct this after the fact, just baby them a bit more than normal till they are on the road to recovery.

well how many watts in your tent? what size tent? what is the CFM of the fan, even on low? whats the distance from light to top of plant?

are they crisped out? or tacoing?

if that was the ONLY variable that changed, most likely heat. I mean, how hot though? you have a temp gauge? i used to have a heat problem and saw my temps get over 85. I *believe* our girls can do up to 85 - 90, but photosynthesis is slowed down. I believe though if you supplement that with CO2, then it is mitigated some.

That said, like gobbly said, just push forward, and dont make any negligible over sights/mistakes

Well, now its a average of 30 which after taking 2 lights out... Sheez. Small Tent though. Its a giant cfl left in there now;; there was 725w cfl power most on the smaller plant were crisped and tacoing do u mean like curled?

so it was probs about 50-60 celcius when the fan was lowest power lol... Absolutely cooked it in under 8 hours.

wow. i just did the temp conversion - yeh bro. cooked! you would probably want multiple readings at different spots b/c there could be pockets/corners that have diff heat - but w/ a small tent, unlikely.

yeh leaves curled. so what age are the girls? what stage of life cycle?

lmao! Ino poor bitches... erm 1s abit over a ft and 1s like only 7-8 inches tall(that was the 1 that got uber fucked, some small leafs in the creases of stems/branches have continued to grow so hopefully all is not over, very slow process though)

The big 1s fine, it sorted just scorched the top of it but absolutely raped the smaller one.

I have the small 1 in the bottom corner of my tent now and its 28c there.. ive got a LED light on it - intensive care u see

awww it just makes me proppa mad uno, they were both so healthy, then people have to invade on ur shit
