I don't usually switch it on just in case it gets cold.. Had a few purple plants last timeThey're dead now for sure.
Why are you using a heat mat on flowering plants? I never use a heat mat for anything.
Ok but why a heat mat instead of a heater? It's always cool in my basement grow room so I have a heater with a thermostat to kick in when the temp drops. The cement floor is always chilly so the pots sit on inch thick insulation slabs so the soil doesn't chill too much and the warmer the soil the more active the bio-herd is.I don't usually switch it on just in case it gets cold.. Yeah I'm not expert on these things... My friend told me that a heat mat is good cheap way to warm plants and that heaters can be a bit ineffective in a tent when air is being expelled all the timeOk but why a heat mat instead of a heater? I can't see the heat mat hurting anything but it just seemed a little of an odd way to warm the plants.
It'll keep the bottom of the pots a little warmer at least.Yeah I'm not expert on these things... My friend told me that a heat mat is good cheap way to warm plants and that heaters can be a bit ineffective in a tent when air is being expelled all the time
