Heat Problem in my grow room

This is my first grow and first time posting on this amazing site. I have a 5X5 closet with a 8 foot cieling with no AC vent. I have constructed the room with little modification because I live in a apartment in CA. I have a 1000W HPS with a Hydrofarm hood hooked up to very dissapointing 6" inline fan from Home Depot that exhaust into the attic. I turned everything on and within 20 min the room is at 91 degrees with the closet door open with a small 8 inch fan blowing cool air in. The rest of the house at 70 degrees. The exhaust fan that is connected to the HPS hood works pretty good because when i pull the hose out of the attic it is blowing pretty hot air out. The hood is sealed besides a intake vent on the side.
Should I get a better inline fan from the local hydro store and run 4 inch hose from the intake vent on the Hood to somewhere out of the room to suck in cool air? Or do i need another exhaust fan for the room? The problem is i leave in a apartment, so i cant do to much modification. I used the hole that was already there for the closet light to vent out the hot air from the HPS. PLEASE HELP Once i figure this out i can start growing with my ebb and flow system using hydroton on a 4X4 tray. I know you guys can help me figure this out. Thank you. can you extraact air from ure attic??? if tht is possible air in attic should be alot cooler, my attic is like 50 degrees. cooler air cumin in is a good deal.

You should definitely pull air from another room, it will do you good.

that duct fan is only good to cool 400 and 600, the big boy 1000watter needs more cfms, sure shot is totally right, whatever fan your going to use should have free flowing air straigh thru from one room to another, not disturbing the air in your space, it sucks cus i am sure you dont want to put holes all over your nice closet...HTGsupply.com has a 6inch 450cfm fan for $119 that is a really good piece of equipment, also they have it in a combo with a carbon filter for $200 fan/filter well worth it bro you gonna need it

I don't know, my attic's have always been hotter in the summer than the rest of the house. Is there some way you can pull from a basement. I usually setup in a basement, my attic attempts always ran too hot. You can always run off the A/C duct and run some hose to your room. If the flow isn't enough put a small inline fan in not to high to pull all the cool air but enough to get the job done and not disrupt the cool air to the rest of the house. I do a smaller closet grow and heat has always been a battle for me. The main thing I do is run my grow at night when it is cooler. Hope this help a little. Good luck

Thanks for the advice. I am going to the stronger inline fan you suggested to replace the home depot fan, to exhaust the hot air into the attic. Do you think i should set it up like my first setup: I have a 4 " ducting connected to the top of my hydrofarm hood which is connected to dissapointing 6" inline fan from home depot that is more of booster fan type i think, then from the fan another lenght of 4 " ducting exhaust into the attic. The light is sealed besides a intake vent on the side of the hood. Do you think replacing the home depot fan with a more powerful 450 cfm inline fan and connecting the intake vent on the hood to some ducting that leads outside the closet to cooler air in my bedroom. It is 1000w HPS, so it puts out a ton heat as you know. Or do you think i am going to add another source of cool air, although leaving in the apartment i would have to connect a duct from a AC vent in the bedroom and hang it from the cieling all the way to the closet with a booster fan? I hope i can do without doing that though...Thank you for your input,I appreciate it.

You need to have the fan pushing air over the light and not pulling it.
I have my fan in the attic pushing air from my attic down into my room and then back out.

During the summer though I use a 18" ducting and split it off to 3, with 2, 8" ducts and run those through 2 lights apiece.
The other duct goes into the room.
This all ties into my CH/AC and works beautifully.
Although your A/C might not be putting out alot of CFM, it is very cold air.
