Heat Problem

Hi

10 blue cheese
3 x 600w lights
10' fan and filter rhino
Temp 31-33C lights on (91F)
Temp 25C lights off

I'm 11 days in flowering and my temp is 90+
All plants look healthy with no burn on them but this temp is going to kill my yield

Would it be best to turn one light off to get the temp down to around 85F

Using dutch pro root take which I think is really helping the plants
And using dutch pro bloom A&B
15litres pots and giving them 3litres of water every other day.
The plants are drinking all the water as when I go to water them they are bone dry

You should experiment with turning one light off, see what temperature drop you get while still getting good spread. If you want to keep all 1800w, maybe look into air cooled hoods or use an active intake drawing cool air in from elsewhere (not your grow room).

Also, i have an infrared thermometer, so I can take leaf surface temps, which i trust a lot more than a room temperature reading.

Stupid question, are the lights raised as high as possible?

If you have switchable ballasts turn em down. Run at night to keep temps lower. Get an ac window unit going, or a portable one. Add an intake out of a crawlspace or basement thats cool. Or turn one off.

Yes I'm in the UK cheese here is the only one people love to smoke

I'll have to turn a light off and see what it drops to

It's summer now and temps outside are 25C day and 17C night

I'm running the lights at night and it's still hot

It's only been this last week thats it's been this hot in the UK, temp was around 15C outside in the day but we had a heat wave

Yeah lights are at the highest point possible

Yeah, I'm in uk too, and this heat has been a bit of a bitch. I'm lucky that my tent is oversize, heat was a far bigger issue before - new tent is 6x the original volume. I would say look into air cooled hoods dude, always used bargains on ebay if money (or you, lol) are tight. Or, a portable aircon unit, or even flooding with co2 so your ladies can handle the heat better. Its only early summer, I'm slightly dreading july/august.

Blue cheese is a classic, but "blues" or "cheese" is all anyone seems to shift around here, it gets a bit boring, so folks are chomping at the bit for haze and Kush. Whenever real Big Buddha Blue Cheese comes through, it makes for a very nice change.

If at all possible I would try to get that light cycle running on at night and vent the heat completely out of the room, even if you have to dim your ballast you are going to want to still keep the same size light footprint so I'd avoid turning one off if you can, possibly look into sealing the area and running a co2 system, but that's a whole other animal right?

I've no experience with the exhale bags, so cant comment on whether they'd give you enough co2 to combat overheating. Mate used to use fire extinguishers back in the day! Again, not quite sure how effective it would be for your needs.

I've never used co2 emitters before, but if I was going to try one I'd try this one

Put an ac in there.
