Heat problems in my closet grow

So i have 12 23watt daylight cfls in my closet that is prob 6X5X8 or 9. It doesnt have ventilation form my ac. but i do have a fan in there. the thing is the fan points to blow alittle bit on the plants and not the direction to get the heat outa the closet. the problem is, its my bedroom closet and i need to close it when i goto sleep or have people over that i dont want to know that i have it. or when i leave cus i live in apartments and i dont want the landlords coming in for some reason and randomly walking into my room and then notice the light and walk in there. but newayz if i leave it closed its like a sun in my bedroom. but when i close the door my temps end up somewhere between 80 and 85. depending on how long i end up leaving the doors closed. will this hurt my plants? or can i leave the doors shut for a good 6-8 hours and not have problems with to much heat in there i dont think that the temp ever gets above 90 but it deff stays around in the 80s if i close the door.

Firstly, that is too many cfl's for how big the plants are. I use one cfl per plant until the plant is about 5 or 6 inches. taking out a few cfls for now will help the heat issue. When you do start using all of them, your absolutly going to need some way of venting the air out of the room!. 80-85 degress is too high and will effect the production of your plant. leaving the door open will help but like you said it has to be closed at times.

What i would do: hang up a large dark towl or something that will block the light from escaping and hang it so there is about 6 inches of space between the towel/blanket and the ground. (this is what i do with my walk in closet) Then buy a small fan at wal mart and put it on the ground pointing out. That way, you can leave the door open at night and sleep well. Also when you switch to 12/12, have the dark period during the day and the light period at night. I do this and it helps with temps drastically.

well id say the more light the better and i have to use that many or i wont cover the amount of area im trying to light. i have different sets of plants 3 weeks apart and then i have clones from a plant my friend was trying to salvage cus a deer knocked it ovr and snapped the stem. basically what i did is the same thing u did. cept instead of puttin it so its a couple feet off the ground i put about a foot and half at the top of the door because heat rises and i figured it would let out more heat this way. i understand what ur saying with the amount of cfls but with the area i have to cover with the amount of plants i have in different stages i need this many.
