Heat stress and early sexing

How long does it take heat stressed cannabis plants to show sex? I'm 2 weeks into flowering and no sign of either yet, this is second grow, so I know how to differentiate between the 2, there's just nothing showing yet

I dont know that heat stress delays showing sex. How bad was it? Where did you learn about this effect?

And if you dont see some stigma in another week, I would start worrying.

I don't know if heat stress can delay flowering or not, but I assume it would, my first grow they showed sex a lot sooner than these, first grow was in basement, this one in attic, we've had a heat wave the last couple weeks, before I got a bigger exhaust fan and and added intake fan, it was getting about 104-110 during the day with lights off, plants never got too "ugly" looking like they were in a bad way, but at about 6 weeks old, they're pretty puny looking, they haven't had but a couple inches of growth the last 2 or 3 weeks, and since I've gotten temps under control the last few days I've had more growth than in the last few weeks, so I figure no sign of sex has to be caused by heat stress, but I could be wrong, I'm far from expert at it

And if heat stress doesn't delay flowering, what could my problem be? Ph of soil, water, and nute solution between 6.0-6.5, very particular with that, I was watering once a week with a good saturation, till a little bit came out the bottom, fed with full strength nutes every 2 weeks, I've started doing a half strength nute mix between normal fert, and I've stepped up watering because soil would be pretty dry when I'd water them, past my middle knuckle on forefinger would be dry, I'm just trying to get it figured out because I went all out for this grow pretty much from high power 200+ watt cfl's to ph'ing everything, even all organic, closest thing to chemicals that touch them is the ph buffers, I started out so happy and excited for this grow, but that's gone to a bit of worrying now

Excessive nitrogen delays flower onset, I usually ramp down veg nutes as I increase flower nutes. Bud blood gets it done. look for light leakage and try to get temp fluctuation between 10-15f from dark to light.

That could be a part of it since I've only been flowering to show sex, so I haven't changed nutes, but I do have them under a 2700k bulb tho, and no light leakage, made the box to be practically air tight other than the ventilation, I was very particular with that as well tho, I learned from first grow, tho I use to actually turn on the lights to show friends, didn't get much bud off of it and started looking why, and that's when I found out not even a sliver of light is allowed during flower, and since I've got the ventilation situated, it goes from low mid 70's at night, to around 86 during the day on the hot side, lights are on at night and off during day

It's good that you got the temps under control.. There are some strains that would have died from that amount of heat..

How old is the plant i understand its 2 weeks into flowering?

They are about 6 weeks old, maybe almost 7, standing up straight, they are 6-8 inches, I'm doing tie down lst, and there is a bunch of inner node growth, but it's so small and lanky, but with the temps down they have shown wonderful growth! Since i know its safe to post pics on here ill take some pics of them and post it in here tomorrow, I have og kush and lemon skunk growing, and getting a blue widow clone tomorrow, was trying to wait till I got my other plants sexed, but my buddy says its almost getting too big to transport, and will my plants still flower with using veg nutes? Will get flowering nutes when I switch to flower till harvest tho

They will flower even if you didn't give them nutrients.... I use the same nutrients from seedling to harvest with sucess

Yes, I use 12/12 for flower and 18/6 for veg, I'm sexing early since I'm starting from seedling and I'm getting my mothers ready to take clones from, will have three left to flower if everything turns out alright, and if I had a male in the group would it have shown already or are there instances where a male takes more than 2 weeks to show?

2 are 5 gallon buckets and 3 are 3 gallon buckets, they've been in there for about 4 weeks I think, but have holes drilled at the bottom for drainage, and actually drains quite well, had them laying around so decided to put them to good use

They were seedlings, I started them in the coconut fiber starting pots, then moved to bigger pots at about 2 or 3 weeks from sprout, started feeding when there was 4 nodes, soil didn't have anything in it when I bought it, it was just straight organic soil, no npk

I don't know why they wouldn't flower then I was thinking maybe you didn't give them enough time to develop a root mass but if you started from seed then idk what's going on sorry
