I think what happened is the temp got in the high 90's.. then that caused a nute burn. Any suggestions? Im going to go out and getting an a/c cooler for the room today. The high temp messed everything up, normally I check the plants in the morning and at night, but last night I got home and went right to bed.

I have a 1000w mh light that was about a 12 inch away to 18in away (running at 750 watts) The plants grow almost 6 inches in a few days ( that is why they away 12 in away). They started at around 18 inch away from the light.. then grew crazy - ( i moved the light to about 2 1/2 feet now)..

Most of the pictures I see, it doesn't show the leafs curling upwards to the light. And also it isn't my tops leafs, it more of the middle leafs. I have an air cooled hood, but the room they are in just gets hot.

Not sure if I should trim off some of the dead or really bad looking parts of the plant.
Not sure if I should do a flush and try to reduce some of the nute in there
Why is this mostly happening on the soil plants.. but not on any hydro plants ( maybe it is just a nute burn and not a heat stress).
I can hold my hand by the top of my plants for a long time and it doesn't get hot from the light. But the room temp is hot ( 85 with the fans on high / 92 with them on medium - with no lights - about 78 to 80 degrees)

I think there is something else going on beside the heat / nute problem..

I just checked, the tent was at 97 degrees.. I got it cooled back down again.. but when I say 90.. I should be more clear.. upper 90's

Well.. With the a/c now in the room.. the temp has been steady at 81 for the last 2 hours.. but I would still like to know if I should snip the ends of the dead leafs off.. and what people think is going on ( is it heat or not, or ph.. or both)

Are these clones from a mother? it looks almost normal for a cutting at three weeks veg.

I use ro. water and was told to add cal-mag to my nutes especially to my soil grow.

That one pic of the leaf with the water spots looks normal. Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesnt travel up the plant to the new growth, then you will know if you really have a problem.

Focus on what you need to do to get the temps down. I take it you have circulating fans in the room to move air around right. Exhaust fan?

Yes. These are clones, and today is there 3 week birthday.. I topped two of them a few days ago.

I use r/o water also.. and on the ppm/tds meter.. I get aroudn 14 to 15ppm. Cal-mag might not be a bad idea..will try to supplement some cal-mag in the water, thanks for the tip.

whats the ph?
That is the question of the year..

So I have a liq. ph tester.. and a digital ph test and they never read the same from day to day and it drives me over the edge. I calibate the meter with that 7.0 reference liq. and I still can't get good reading.

The problem is that the R.O. I was using was high 6's ( 6.6 / 6.8 ) for the first week and half of the grow.. So I reduced it down to 6.0.. Well out of no were my R.O. was coming out of the tap at 6.0, so I stopped using ph. down.

I honestly not sure what is going on with the PH of the water. I really don't think the water is going to change from 6.8 or so.. down to low 6.0 or 5.8 from the R.O. in just two weeks. Im not sure what meter to trust, because generally they are very different ( around .5 to a whole point different)

but if I had to guess I would say the ph has been around 6.0 all the time.
