heated temps in a closet....

Hey experienced indoor growers. i have a heat issue. As you see in the pic this is how the room is set up per al b fuct's usual. The only difference is that mine is in a closet. my temps are around 90 degrees. I have ducting from the bottom of the tent that goes to a 250watt bulb in a digital ballast with cool tube, to a 440cfm 6 in vortex sucking air out of the room and a inline duct booster sucking air to a filter above the tent. there is also a vent in the door to get cool air at the bottom that is big enough along with a hole in the top of the door to let hot air out thru ducting into the main room. What should i change to get my temps down? Help me please!!! Thanks all

the only thing i can think of atm is getting a/c in there somehow. you dont mention the dimensions of your closet i know most closets are pretty small and cant fit portable a/c's inside. what about running some ducting from your house a/c vent thats in the room the closet is attached to and attach that ducting to the intake of your closet? so when the a/c comes on in it blows right into the closet instead of the room. Im also in a closet too small for a portable a/c (5'x4') and am thinking of doing this. hope it helps.

Will try thoring a oscoilting fan in the mix can you pull they air from some where colder ???

I had 95 degree temps in my cab when i have to turn the lights off. My inline fan is not set up yet. So i added 3 fans inside the cab when the door is closed. Each fan drops the temp 4 degrees and i throw 3 big frozen water bottles in there. Temp stays around low to mid 80s

I could be a little confused by your description/diagram, so forgive me if I'm incorrect.

It looks like your only source of air from outside is ducted through the light, then back out of the room. If that's the case, and your temps are that high, it's because you don't have cold enough air (or enough of it) in your light vent, and the closets air is still just stagnant air being pushed around by a fan. Get a second vent in there, something that brings air from near the floor (preferably releases it at the foot of the pots/containers), and draws it out near the ceiling.

lol.... i said i got it now people reply. in my door there are two holes one at the top for heat from the room and at the bottom for cool air from the rest of the crib to come in. i have 2, 7 in clip fans on the inside of the tent to circulate air. i got the temps down to mid 80's i can live with that and the girls are doing fine. before it was in the 90's and couldn't bear it. not too difficult i just had to rearrange some things

If you ever have to ask for advice, please make sure you come back to that thread and close it out with the solution to your problem, even if you had to figure it out yourself. You may prevent someone from asking the same question. Your temps now sound fine. For anyone that has this issue and simply cannot get the temps down with air flow, consider a co2 system and a timed exhaust, intake of air. With co2, the plants can withstand the hotter air and actually thrive in it from what I have read.

makes sense bro. your idea sounds great but won't work... let me tell you why. i am no pro at co2, but if you have very hi temps you can't do co2 because you will always blow it out of the room by the main extractor fan. make sense? with my prob i had to take the temps in the tent and get it out of the closet. so i put my carbon filter put it inside the tent at the top hooked it directly to the cool tube and vented out like that. the air i was pulling from the cool air at the bottom of the door was going past the bulb. but the hot air that is put out by the bulb was staying in the room making it hotter.

maybe try 1 0r 2 osc fans and keeping the door to the room open if possible? An a/c would be great but doesnt fit into everybodys budget/space etc. I had a minor temp problem due to the recent hot weather in my area and I kept the door open and made a vent at the bottom of the room through the wall with a small fan to push new cold air in and then made a vent at the top other end of the room to exhaust the hot air out and it brought the temp down to my liking! I also will randomly shut off the lights and let everything cool down for a bit and get the stale hot air out and start um up again. I dunno if it helps all that much but to me it does-but i am a newb soooo....

personally i dont think you should have to use an a/c if your ventilation is right. when i designed my room it was to have a negative air pressure so you don't need a intake fan... the air at the bottom of the door vent comes in cool. the air escaping thru the top vortex fan creates that. with you turning your lights on and off may create light stress for the plants. i wouldn't recommend it. you may cause them to hermie.
