I knew 90% that this would happen but RIU said to do it anyway, i'm only a few weeks in flowering and there is no space between my plants and the light, its in a tent, ideas of what i can do or will it not do much damage? its a cooled 600w light

Hmm height problems suck, i just had to deal with a height problem myself, https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/569563-wos-northern-lights-x-big.html , but my problem is a little bit different of a situation than yours, but when i had my big kahuna hood in user, it was cooled as well, but the buds that were touching the light started to have their hairs turn darker, which i assumed was burning, so even though it was cooled, once they start touching the light your probably gonna have some problems. However i do have a 1000w going unlike your 600 so maybe your light is cold enough to not affect the buds. But how tall's your tent, because you may want to invest in a taller tent, because other than that, its getting a smaller light as in thinner so it didn't take up as much space which would put with with going with some t5's but your yield would get dramatically smaller from that, or you could always just trim the plants down to the height that would work in your tent, which would obviously cut down on yield massively as well.

Your best option for now though would be to start bending your plants into some bushier plants intead of just the straight up style.

I would suggest to tie a string around the pot, tight, then tie another string around your plant about 3/4 up the plant, loose, and pull the plant down and tie the string to the other string around the bucket. This will also open up the plant and give you some nice buds growing out from the side. Do this to all the plants, in different directions and rotate your pots once and awhile.

The good news is that they have great lateral branching. i would take em down a couple nodes then so they have 4 main arms (lateral branches). even trim under those.

have 4 lateral branches as the main branching then pinch tops on those so it'll be an 8 legged freak. perfect for beginning of flowering. it's now or never bc in the next 3 weeks they're gonna double for sure.

if this is the pineapple chunk those would be perfect hybrids to do this with bc of Deep Chunks dense calyxes and amazing lateral branching added on w some stretch and bigger colas by the "pineapple"

good luck

sorry i dont really understand what you mean, do you know of a video/picture i could use to read more on that becuase it confused me when i read it

You can just keep pulling them back with string, over and over...

That green garden wire (like bread ties) from HD works great... you can unwind and reuse.

Pull growth to open areas and you will get a nice full canopy.

I do this... it's like scrog benefits without the long veg time.

I would have been trained those plants, try finding a nice soft bendable spot on the plant and tie down to pot

So just putting a net over the tent would make them not grow to tall? along with topping? anything else
