Quick question, i have done lots of searching but have not found my exact answer that im looking for. Im looking to to do a grow in ireland, main thing i am worried about is helicopters. How much can u safely grow with out them noticing. Im not worried about the electricty bills, anybody popping by or anything else like that, its a very good discreet location, lots of space and nobody will know/be involved bar myself . Its just the helicopter that has me worried!! How much can you safely get away with?

This depend very much on your circumstances, location ect... if growing indoors in a room in your house for eg. heat and electricity are the two main factors on which u wish to remain discreet,, remember this... helicopters heat sensors can only detect heat ESCAPING FROM YOUR HOUSE not inside it!!! for example through the seams of your window or escaping from your roof. always insulate exstensivly.. elelctricity is another factor to consider as it is summer now (were u are) and a spike in your electricty bill may be somthing they look into (and frequently do). try using cfl bulbs for minimul electricity usag and try not to go above 600w all together. hope this helps.. happy growing.

well how would one release all this heat, as in where can u hide it or release it? Im not talking a big commercial grow or anything, maybe between 25-40 plants.

ugh a fucking dryer exhaust vent , under the house, into an attic. your only limitation is your imagination. seriously i dont think youvedone the research you need todo. and asking will only get you so far, how about you take your lazy ass back to the forumand do some diggin. look at others grow ops. what other people have said. seriously do yur homewwork kid.

yes but where is the heat actually released,in the attic they are abviously going to see the heat or after travelling for such a distance does it reach temperatures low enough that wont stand out? I have done lots of research but i have yet to see a way that is 100 % undetectable for sure. Im not ready to do my grow just yet, jutd doing my home work, i have all the other pieces of the puzzle ready to go, just want to make sure i do this part to perfection :)

heat in an attic would not look obvious. theres heat in your attic now. now heat in your attic in winter. no thats a problem. like i said what about hooking up to your dryer exhaust.

google drier exhaust or exstractor fan,,p.s one of this going into a chimney is a great way of expelling heat out of your house unscrupulized.

I run through a carbon filter and vent into my house, keeps it nice and warm and saves on heating costs. Eco friendly =P. Also insulate the grow room, leave a dead air space and then install another insulated wall around that use "sizzleen screen" on the exterior of both walls. sizzleen screen = (http://www.insulation4less.com/) foil/bubble/foil this setup should even prevent the koppers from looking through your walls with that new 3D vision shit. Installing a 1/16" Faraday cage in the dead air space couldnt hurt either if your freakin out man.

Anyways...you need to build a completely sealed room with a split AC unit. It needs to be insulated and lined with heat reflective material. Believe me. A dryer vent is not going to work. On a infrared scope its going to look like a fucking dragon is burried under your house. I have looked at grow houses through an IR camera before. Its fucking comical that some people think they can effectively mask it. One guys basement literally looked liked it was on fire.

Not to be a dick. But if your asking these kinds of basic questions, you don't have the smarts to build it correctly, and since no brains, you probably don't have the money either. Stay out of prison and just buy your weed like everyone else.

I wouldnt just go jumping to conclusions, plenty of dolla my friend, hence why i asking how to do it right. I dont want to be the person with there basement of fire thinking im insulating all my heat!! Air conditioning split??thanks mate

Fair enough, but you seem like you haven't done any of your homework. You need to decide HOW your going to grow first. Then how many plants, then your lighting set up, THEN start worrying about building your room.

It takes more money than you think. Much more. I probably have close to $7,000 in my 4200 watt hydro set up. That grows 18 plants in an 8x10 space. All computerized climate control.

BTW.. 25-40 plants IS a commercial grow. I think you would be over your head pretty quick with that many plants. Maybe in a sog but certainly not 40 big plants

Yea 40 plants is the big time. If growing personal, keep the numbers low for less risk and less jail time if caught. LED is easier to manage heat and less electricity too.
