Thanks Caherbgrower.
I lost four nice OGs to aphids. Don't wanna go through that again.

Thanks for a little PEACE OF MIND.
:-)
I really appreciate that.

I'm still trying to figure out how to max out my 400 watter also in a 4x2x5 cab
right now I'm growing two northern lights and one strawberry blue I topped above the second node and supercropped the four main branches I got from topping 2weeks later (about 4 days ago) to let the lower growth come up , I also removed the lower leaves since they bushes out and weren't realm getting any light now I'm just tucking leaves to let light to the new growth shoots
Im hoping to get a qp off three plants in 6.5 gallon pots in ffof and supersoil
I'm really liking my bushes so far anyways since you were talking about NL and a 400 watt hps I thought IDE share ..34 days from seed first week 12\12

oh and scrog is definetly the way to maximize yield but I decided the pain in the ass it would be wasn't worth it in only growing for personal use and wanted it to be as low maintence as possible

Semajkroy,
Nice bush!
No pun intended. :-)

Im with you on the scrog,
I know that's the way to turn them into beasts, but I'm gonna try to just bend, and crop my way this time. That Northern lights looks healthy as hell.
Big ol fat indica leaves on her.
I dropped a Northern lights by big bud, and a Bubba Kush today. This afternoon I went check on them, and saw these little bastars crawling in the soil surface.
I freaked because I lost 4 healthy Og's to the dreaded root aphid.

Now everytime I see a bug I trip. I caught one and looked at it through my loop, and thank God, it didn't have dual tailpipes. Pheeew!
Fungus gnat.
I'll handle up on them a little later. If you don't mind me asking,
what breeder did you get those NL beauties from ?

the northern lights are from nirvanna I wanted something easy and cheap with this being the first run but so far no complaints with nirvana but I just started flowering but the two I'm growing pretty much grew identical same height main stem mass and all maybe just luck who knows

as far as the root bugs I order nematodes and have no more problems ... I had some fungus gnats and it took care of them I don't know about aphids but check it out it had a long list of other root insects it helped with and ok also unsure of wether you can use them with chemical nutes nematodes are alive ..? Maybe you know more I'm still a newb lol

Hey Semajkroy,

When those aphids hit my plants a while back, I looked into beneficial Nematodes. Glad to see that they're working fpr you.

Ran 6 White Rhinos from Nirvana last run. I know that they're not the original White Rhino from Green House, but that was only my 3rd grow. Actually was kind of a cool grow though. I had a sativa pheno, and one with an indica pheno. Side by side.It was cool to watch them grow ttogether. I know indicas are normally the go to for pain, but the taller sativa pheno knocked out the pain from an abscessed tooth I had at the time that the inica pheno couldn't touch. Go figure. Lol. It smelled real pineapple like, and when you rub the stems it smelled,,,,, well, it smelled like baby shit! Lol no kidding. They weren't bad for copies.

The northern lights by big bud I just planted is from World of Seeds, and the Bubba is from Medicann, CBD enriched. I believe the Bubba has a thc percentage of 18 to 22, and 4% CBD. Looking forward to both.. I hope I end up with a purple pheno with the Bubba. So yeah being space restricted kinda sux, with a 400 and heat. I have two powerful fans one at the bottom intaking, and one exhausting at the top that keeps my temps around 75. What kind of temps are you holding in your space?

A couple of pics of those Nirvana White Rhinos. No training, just topped.

The flowers that or on the trays getting manicured are from the sativa pheno Rhino. It wasn't bad smoke.
One of these grows im gonna run Green Houses WR. Both of those are in5 ggallon buckets. You can see I had to raise the indica pheno on the left to even out the canopy. I got 3 ozs off of the sativa

Dude, I know .
With all the air ive got moving through my closet grow room, during the summer, in daytime, I struggle to hold 80, and I have 8 foot ceilings. I can only imagine how hard its gonna be for you to keep it down with a 400 in that amount of space. Get some turbine jet engines for intake, and exhaust..
I think with enough air moving through you should be ok.

I have a 6" hyperfan for exhaust with passive intakes and fans on the bushes and light i haven't reply looked into how much of a difference 75 vs 80 makes i wonder how dramatic it REALLY is

I don't think it would be very dramatic at all.. Some of the experienced guys on here would be able to give a better answer, but I don't see that big of a difference.

Hey Semajkroy,
I wanted to mention to you,
I had two Citral Skunks and a Mango kush last summer. The temps stayed at 80 in the daytime, and 72 at night, and they turned out fine. Just saying bro

My question is,
For my small space, I wanted to top once, then crop the two mains, and any side branches that are stretching past the canopy. Then put bamboo stakes and tie to the cropped branches from coming back up. Do any ofyyou guys think that I will get allot of tops this way. It will also let me shape her to fit my room.

If I use this method, do I even need to lst?
Also, when topping, I've been pinching of the tip of the main shoot right abovethe highest node. Is this the best way? Thanks Iin advance yall

Personally, I've done both. I wanna see what you guy's think. Better for two day old seedlings, mh raised high, or cfls real close.
I find that the mh causes legging from too much distance. What do you guys do?

Just did my first full veg with florescent, I loved it. I agree with it being easier to control legging, temp, humidity, and its easier on the eyes. But I am just getting back into it and will be doing my own comparisons before I swear off HID for veg. HPS or sunshine for flower though.
