No excuses now i was in a second hand shop with my mother, and fair play i just picked up a 300watt ultra violet lamp for £4.99, do you reckon it's a high enough voltage to grow cannabis plants properly?

nice one chaps if you can help.

50c/s AC.only
300w 220/240v~

I do not think that will be sufficient for the entire growth of the plant particularly with that reflector.

UV lamps are also generally produced for sunbathing, and I would imagine can burn your crops, unless kept far away, in which case they will stretch.
They may not be of the correct wavelength either, as I have not seen these used in a grow before.

Good luck...
For a safe and sure bet, go out to the store and buy a few CFLs. They should do you good!

No, it should give u a nice trich profile assuming. Its uv-b, however there's not near adequate P.A.R. To sustain plants, sorry man. Welcome to riu!

Thanks man much appreciated ,about the CFLS what wattage do you think for 3 to 4 plants max. It's only a small project just starting out, see how it goes thanks for the welcome.
