New to the forum and thought I would say "hi".
I've been lurking for awhile and thought it was time to sign up now
that I have decided to step over the line and grow my own tomatoes.
I'm amazed at the unlimited amount of information available here. Thanks!
Until recently, would you believe I haven't smoked since drug testing started in 1980's.
I have medical problems now and I find tomatoes help very much.
I just don't like going through others to get what I need. I'm a
very self-reliant person.
Someone sent me to get some tomatoes and the boy pusher was
still in high school. At 60 years old, I just could not buy from a
child so I went home tomato-less.
I pray I don't end up the "slammer".
I have an idea situtation. I live out in the country on 5 acres and
have the most wonderful well water which I test each year.
I am an old country type who has always had a outside garden, chickens
for th eggs and meat, raise many different types of meat animals, can
my veggies and meats, and just started back with a tiny milk cow.
We have a depression, I could eat for at least two years from my
cellar alone. I don't buy feed for my animals. I grow sunflowers,
sprouts, and cat tails from my ponds, and let the chickens run around
eating bugs, and grow worms for fishing and feeding.
Now I'm gonna learn to grow indoors with soil.
Blessings to all
