Hello I'm really new to the whole indoor growing, and I'm trying to figure out what and how I should set up. I'm planning on getting a VivoSun 36" x 36" x 72" to grow 2 full length plants or should I go smaller? I don't really know what else I should get to finish my setup. Currently looking up lights and everything else, I would very much welcome some advice and help

I have the same size tent and use a viparspectra 600w led. You could grow a few small plants maybe 2 medium or 1 big plant...imo

Read, read, read. Read thru this site as much as you can handle. Don't jump into it till you feel you know, somewhat, what you're doing. Nothing worse then investing in this hobby only to find out its not for you, or you're not a good grower. Too many people rush into it, then come to this site and want people to grow for them(thru advice). Look into growing in coco(or anyother medium) and try to learn as much as you can about the growing style you feel best with. Growing is easy assuming you know most of the basics.

And before you buy anything make sure you understand enviroment and what it takes to keep it in line. I would say 9/10 fail because they can't get their env. in check
IMO

this 100% this
read as much as you can.. grow to the grow journal section of the site, pick out someone who looks like they've got a good grip on the whole grow thing, and follow along on their journey.. this way, you an learn from any mistakes / problems that they've faced during a grow, and hopefully will be able to avoid doing them yourself..

Research the CMH 315 lights. It would work good with that tent. Less heat than HPS. But don't just take my word for it, research. Lighting, and environment control is the biggest factors (in my opinion). You have to have a lot of light, and control the heat. I would recommend using a good quality soil, and fabric pots for your first try.

I live in a a weekly in Vegas and it's upstairs idk if that really messes up anything...
And
I'm looking at this with my tent, should I use an autoflower or photoperiod plant? They have a whole set for $265 but idk if its worth itScreenshot_20191116-154254.png

From my research, using LST and fimming/topping is gonna give you more of a yield then letting them just grow on their own without training. If you don't at least LST you're gonna just get one main cola on top and little popcorn buds down the sides that from my research, aren't worth the energy or time. With the stress training, you're gonna get more then 1 cola, and if done right, they'll be many... and fat. I'm a new grower too and I'm actually getting ready to do my first flower Monday night. Though I did my research for months before even starting to order the things I'd need, the thought of bending and cutting my plants was intimidating to say the least. But, so far, my experience with LST and fimming/topping has been easy as 1-2-3... literally. Give it a go.

I’m a Noob too.
I would suggest looking here:
All the advise you’ve been given is excellent, I’m just saying I like the way this site is set up too.
One more point, the search button should be your best friend.
If you have a question, it’s been asked before. Search the answer first before asking. The old timers round here will respect your efforts and be more willing to help when you have a real issue.
Just my two cents.
Good Luck

If you have the room, I would go with a 4'x4'x80" Two full size plants will be crowded in a 3'x3', plus if you want to use a decent light I would go with at least a 600 watt HPS, but like I mentioned you will need a 4x4 for that light. From my experience a 3x3 is just not enough room and you may end up with light stress. Good luck!

once you get your first grow done, you may want to try to grow more than 2 plants at a time and you will have plenty of room with the 4x4.

I'm also new to all this. Super happy i went with a 4x4. Still small enough to tuck away for a bit of stealth but plenty big enough for 4+ plants. There's not a huge difference in the price either. You will be much happier with a larger 1.

I just harvested my first grow. I couldn't imagine having LESS room. In general, once you start this hobby it's hard to ever want to go smaller!

Can tell you how I failed... too much light, too much water, too many nutrients. And add, bought all new equipment. Don’t do what I did, and you’ll finish.
