The light cost just over $1000, think it was like $1034 total. I ordered the LEDs and drivers from rapidled. Heatsinks and hangers from Northerngrowlights. Wire from Amazon. Aluminum I bought at a local steel company, cost $14 for a 25' piece. I assembled it myself, wasn't that hard, just a saw for a couple cuts, drill a few holes, and screw it all down.

@MissyGoddess first I think you rock! secondly your way and the was they make the liquid in a dompen are about as similar as bubble wax & live resin. only like $30 for .5g would give it a shot and you will see what I mean hoping people will start processing for the public in the near future.

I am paying $10 for .5g of wax right now from a local dispensary. With .5g of wax I can make 30ml of juice that will last me a week because It's not my primary method of taking cannabis, hitting a nail with wax is at the moment. I also don't create any waste after I am done (unlike those disposable pens which are terrible on the environment). The wax I use is not live resin,it's BHO, but it works until I can make my own live resin when I harvest. I don't feel like I get the same terpene profile with BHO that I would get from pressing, but since I am flavoring my juices anyway I am not really concerned about terpenes with vaping unless I was going for 'cannabis flavor'. I make my juices to be discrete, so no one can tell there is any cannabis in it.

I use the nail also lol bee-nail enail love that thing! Think we are having a disconnect though and i'm not recommending disposable pens most use the same method as you to to make the juice. More the method and using the dompen as an example as it's the only one I know of that uses a solvent less method for extraction. (recommended trying one so you can see the effect and smoothness so you would know if it was worth perusing & finding someone to extract it for you.) It's pure were your way and others has alcohol and BHO some residual wax even the syringes use the same method as you do. The solvent less method makes a stronger and less harsh final product and if you could find someone to do the extraction for you with your product, you could have the nail effect without the nail harshness. Also sorry for all the talky talk in your grow log :/ but ya .5g of wax or even shatter for that matter /= .5 of solvent less concentration
 
I get ya... that pen/oil is strong. I have a bunch of $5 dab nails for wax for my vape pens if I want a strong hit. Otherwise I use my vape when I am out doing things. It sounds great, just cost prohibitive long term. I will definitely pick one up to try it out though, nothing to lose really. The one thing I don't like is the closed system. I wish they would sell 15/30ml bottles and not force people to buy cheap disposable hardware. I make my own clapton coils and temp control my vape pen and would rather use juice in my hardware.

I understand it is a different method that de-waxes the wax so to speak so you don't get residue left behind while maintaining potency. After much trial and error, my oils do not solidify either, but do not come out as concentrated like the product you are talking about. It does sound very interesting and I would certainly love to learn how they are doing it.

When I first started making canna vape oils the wax would harden back up and solidify in the juice bottle. Now I do a 3 hour double boil @ 235f, alternating between a double boil and a heated ultrasonic bath every hour, after 6 hours I let cool down to 110f then carefully pour into another container. Most of the 'wax' type stuff that forms the solids gets left behind on the sides of the glass while the infused oils (cannabis base I call it) gets put into another container. It's not 'lab grade' by any means but for home made DIY ejuice it is pretty damn good to me.

And no worries about all the talking.. this isn't a grow log really. Was more of my introduction thread that kinda turned into that but not really. ;) I am just looking to converse with people so all is good. :)

I don't plan on smoking any of it... just making edibles with a magical butter machine and pressing it on my 20 ton press so I don't see much need for trimming anything beyond the big fan leaves. Am I wrong about that? I will do a 5 day dry @ 70% humidity then jar them up 1oz per 32oz mason jar with a 62% boveda pack in each jar for the cure.

You should be fine with that plan, I don't put the boveda packs in my jars until in at 63% but I don't know if it makes a difference. Eat a brownie for me lol
 
This last week is killing me, especially shelling out $ to my dispensary with harvest being so close. Should be chopping most of them some time next week. Trichs are about 50/50 clear/cloudy today with just a handful of amber, less than 1%.

Veg tent, I jumped the gun by a week or 2 it seems as my veg plants have outgrown their space. Got to get my timing down a little better next time.

Harvest day for a couple today! Did a live harvest on youtube. Little long and boring but it was my first video and I am learning. If it wasn't live I could edit it down to under 15mins.

 
And this thread is done... I will be doing any new updates on my grow on youtube from now on. Much more interaction on there. :)

501.7g of amazing product after washing, drying, and trimming.

Met my 1 gram per watt goal for my first grow. I am a happy camper. Peace out.
