Hi, I have a question. I know there's a lot of documentation on symptoms of plants from various deficiencies, pests and such. Unlike heat stress, what does cold stress look like? I'm curious because it drops fairly low at night here and want to know what the symptoms, if any are. Thanks!

Edit: My setup is LED, with low heat coming off it. Temp fluctuations are not that big, but it's fairly dry and cool. On a 20/4 with auto's

Cold stress can vary depending on the strain and the temperature fluctuations it went through and how often. Your plant can turn a purple color from the stress. Other problems like bud rot can appear from such hot humid days and freezing cold nights and when they freeze and thaw it can make the buds gross. Obvious signs of cold stress will include frost, stunted growth, and even death.

Ok thanks. It won't be cold enough to freeze. Maybe around 8 - 10 Celsius. The fluctuations in temp may rise up to 15 Celsius. The air is fairly dry. Sounds like I shouldn't have much of an issue. I'll keep an eye on it in case I need to throw a heater in there.

Hi, 420BR

To answer you quickly (coffee is ready, just woke up, lol (GMT+3 Timezone): YES
Someone actually told me to turn to you, in some issues (can't remember which ones they were atm, but if you have the time and will, please read my journal (short entries, won't take long, pictures too, starting from flowering only though, sorry) - plus, my newest topic about Final solution, to use or not to use etc. Link below:

Good Morning From the Motor City. I just Got a 240 watt LED. How far should it be above the canopy? 2x3x5 grow tent.
Thanks

I havew no experience with LEDs in growing, but I guess as close as possible as long as you get the spread wide enough for your needs plus keep the temperature 26-29^Celcius at the tops (or a little above them).

Does the size of pot need to be bigger then a 3gal(12L) Airpot filled with coco
and grown hydroponically DTW system to grow a half pound plant?

That's hard to say, I don't think there is a one answer fits all here as different strains grow in different heights and sturdiness. General rule of thumb though, 1 ft of depth per 1ft of plant. So if you're plant is 3ft tall, it should have at least 3 feet of soil to grow down into.

watch out for a bleaching effect from LED's...not much heat, but light can be intense...

I use them for side light wash...behind fans, 20" away...

They had a 600 LED at the grow store...they had to keep raising it over veggies...you could see how it bleached out some leaves...

Hey guys,

What are some of the symptoms of wind stress and where exactly should my wind be blowing? Should air movement be restricted to above the canopy? Thanks
