!!!Help 2.5 week old seedlings sick (PICS INCLUDED)!!!

This is my first grow. 2 and a half week old seedling are starting to turn yellow (on first set of "real" leaves, the first pair after the seed leaves). Beside turning yellow on most plants (some with brown patches or spots), the leaves are also curling down and under, like eagle talons. Leaves also feel dry and brittle to the touch, on one plant when touching leaf it was SO dry that it literally broke off as soon as i touched it. Please help me i'm new to this. All the research i've done indicates that this could be caused by a multitude of factors, underwatering, overwatering, nutrient burn, lack of nitrogen, heat stress, etc.

You can see the bottom leaves turning yellow and brown; also all the leaves are curling downward

over-watered I think. Its always possible to recover, but I would spare the heartache and kill em and start again. Sorry mate, I'm a realist :)

thanks for the speedy reply, i was thnking that as well, have cut back watering to once every few days, still no improvement yet. so what happens if i stick with them? will they still yield?

whats the Ph of ur water ? and is that coco ? If using coco ya need to feed em and use cal mag.

Its a perlite peat moss mix, im using a cheap little ph test kit, picked up from the grow store, trying to keep it at the "yellow" reading which is 6.0; my tap water is about a 6.5 and im using lemon juice as a ph down

I have been having trouble keeping my humidity up also if that helps. Ive been running a humidifier like 24/7 i'll fill it up before bed and wake up its empty and humidity is down to like 25%

honestly mate, still on my original point. Let them dry out until your cups are really light.

I would almost put up my house that it is over watering (because I did it o so many times back in the day) . Letting a seedling wilt from lack of water is not half as critical as over watering. less is more

I have had them recover from this point. let em starve though. water when they are bone dry

also, re-potting can help in my experience as well.

If you really are desperate to keep the strain, build a ghetto dwc setup with an ice cream container and an air pump and it will take about a week to bounce back

better quality seedling soil (reads: less added ferts) will improve your chances of recovery.

you may not.........pretty jacked up. there may be persistent lock-out, and/or stunting. its best to avoid the situation all together,

I would pop'em out of the cups to see if their root bound, I keep my in the cups for just one week
I don't think you have to start over yet if you transplant'em into something they like they should
recover maybe try one at a time so if they don't like it you'll only ruining one of them~

over watered! almost for sure. it's so easy to over water seedlings that it ain't even funny.

don't transplant as yes, it will require watering.

poke some more holes in your cups. focus on the bottom but poke some random ones all over the cup as well.

don't water for a few days if you haven't in a day or two. if you HAVE watered in the last day or two, DON'T water for 4 or 5 days.

Post some fresh pics up in 2 days. Then, you go from there.

Good luck and I say never cut them down until they have died trying. 99 percent of the time plants can be saved. :peace:
