Help about CRI 80,90 and temperature, lil detail

hey men, im about to buy a system of cob like: cree cxb3590 4000K 80 CRI for vegetation and cree cxb3590 3000K 80 CRI for Flowering.

My doubt is about color temperature of vegetation, i dont know if 5000k would be better than 4000K and what CRI use...

what is better 3000K(80CRI) or 3000K(90) or a mix of both on flowering?

I no longer use anything under 3500k/80cri for veg or flower. Even a 3000k/90cri has plenty of blue for vegging. As for mixing, I try not to do it anymore.

Plants dont see in °k, the spectral distribution chart is whats important. People often use t5 fluorescents for veg. Try comparing the spectral distribution chart of a 6500° t5 bulb to the different cree arrays. 3000°k 90 cri looks like it would do well for both to me. Citizen chips have an excellent 4000°k spectrum, the cree 5,000° looks a little flat to me. Couldnt find a chart for 4,000°. You cant really compare LED lighting to older light sources, they have a more complete spectrum compared to fluors and HID.

I bought 6500K after buying 3500K and noticed that I could get more light intensity per watt. My light meter shows around 1200 at the end of the reflector for each of the 6 cree cxb3590 6500K using around 230 watts on a Mean Well HLG-320H-36A. To get 1200 from the 6 3500K I am around 290 watts. What also helps is keeping the COB at 80F ...dont know how accurate the cheap laser temp reader is. As far as picking up a whole system goes its hard to beat Cutter but if you need just a few parts check out Arrow...$35 for COB, good selection of Mean Well drivers and free one day FedEx shipping.
