plenty of growers just use water straight from the tap and have no problems.so its very unlikely tap water will kill your plants.ya man i figured i was just already on the post so i figured id broaden the info. not tryna step on your toes, you had the right info
EDIT: but chlorine and chloramine that are in small amoumts but present every time you water WILL kill your plants, its not a once and done thing but by week 6 of chlorinated water your plants biological structer will start to unravel. chlorine eats away at plant tissue as well as kills all your micro beneficial bacteria that are supplying your root structure with oxygen as well as breaking down nutrients into more disolvable pieces
such as me haha. im a new grower but i dont use any nutes just lights and mine are doing great.plenty of growers just use water straight from the tap and have no problems.so its very unlikely tap water will kill your plants.
im not arguing withy that, but if you take water from your tap, dont let it sit out and put it straight into your pots it WILL eventually start killing your plants. read all my posts i said that. id like you to try putting water straight from the tap to ur plants with no breathing period and see where there at in 6 weeks! i wasnt saying TAP WATER CANT BE USED, another member said "ya just use tap water" i commented in saying it needs to be left out to avoid a noob having dead plants 1 week into flowereing simply because some of you give one sentence answers and dont explain things. i actually go in depth so the person understands the process and the purpose, not just the answer.plenty of growers just use water straight from the tap and have no problems.so its very unlikely tap water will kill your plants.
ya they grow, but not as good as they could be if you didnt use polluted cuty water. the taste of prolonged polluted water shows up in ur buds.good call man. i was just saying, despite the claims people make. my tap water here is around 8.8 some days and 7.5 others.. lol. other than having to balance it, it works, and my plants grow.
ya if your using distilled just make sure you remember to add the trace elements, they sell a single bottle that does almost all of em. thats what the tap water growers are trying to avoid, trace mineral deficency, because tap water has those trace minerals in it alreadyive also adjusted them ph lvls to 6.3 so now all is well
3 gallons of water
1 with no nutes distilled
1 with nutes distilled 2-1-4 i belive, 1/2 strength will bump up soon
and my back up water tap, been by the window open for bout 2 days
all ph levels are within 6.2-6.5
and for my older plant i just transplanted with fox farms ocean forest
