oh well i was trying to tell you earlier that you should do it while out of the pot(during transplant process), so i would literally give it a light massage around the whole outside of the sides and bottom for a few seconds, then put it in the new pot, surround with soil.

if you have already transplanted, my friend did this, he had a bad rootball, and it wouldnt grow after his trans, and he got the soil nice and wet, put his hands deep down in the outside of the soil and rubbed the whole outside of the walled root mass. two days later it was growing vigorously again.

ya man i figured i was just already on the post so i figured id broaden the info. not tryna step on your toes, you had the right info

EDIT: but chlorine and chloramine that are in small amoumts but present every time you water WILL kill your plants, its not a once and done thing but by week 6 of chlorinated water your plants biological structer will start to unravel. chlorine eats away at plant tissue as well as kills all your micro beneficial bacteria that are supplying your root structure with oxygen as well as breaking down nutrients into more disolvable pieces
plenty of growers just use water straight from the tap and have no problems.so its very unlikely tap water will kill your plants.

ive also adjusted them ph lvls to 6.3 so now all is well

3 gallons of water
1 with no nutes distilled
1 with nutes distilled 2-1-4 i belive, 1/2 strength will bump up soon
and my back up water tap, been by the window open for bout 2 days
all ph levels are within 6.2-6.5
and for my older plant i just transplanted with fox farms ocean forest

yeah i def use tap water. I let it sit out, but i have before not had enough water, just used tap water and balanced it. never had any problem with nute burns, or death hahahaha. tap water is fine, I know a guy who uses tap water for hydro. solid ass crop. hes been doing it for 25 years, so im sure he would not be using it if it did kill plants.

il be good on water haha reason ive been using disstilled is cause i dont know the ppm of the tap here, nor do i have a ppm tester nor the money to get one since i just bought me a good number of other important supplies for my babies but aside from that yal think im good on the nutes and soil ph ect

good call man. i was just saying, despite the claims people make. my tap water here is around 8.8 some days and 7.5 others.. lol. other than having to balance it, it works, and my plants grow.

im not arguing withy that, but if you take water from your tap, dont let it sit out and put it straight into your pots it WILL eventually start killing your plants. read all my posts i said that. id like you to try putting water straight from the tap to ur plants with no breathing period and see where there at in 6 weeks! i wasnt saying TAP WATER CANT BE USED, another member said "ya just use tap water" i commented in saying it needs to be left out to avoid a noob having dead plants 1 week into flowereing simply because some of you give one sentence answers and dont explain things. i actually go in depth so the person understands the process and the purpose, not just the answer.

and PS i live in vegas, ourtape water is 800PPM!!! id assume you wouldnt want me using water straight from the tap if your experienced

ya they grow, but not as good as they could be if you didnt use polluted cuty water. the taste of prolonged polluted water shows up in ur buds.

every one has there own ways and what works, i was just giving advice based on the healsthiest way to do it, not neccesarily the only way

ya if your using distilled just make sure you remember to add the trace elements, they sell a single bottle that does almost all of em. thats what the tap water growers are trying to avoid, trace mineral deficency, because tap water has those trace minerals in it already

ok I just read through and am now just wondering what the tin foil is doing on the sides of your pot??? Tin foil, especially with wrinkles, can create "hot spots" on your plant from the light source. It doesnt seem to be necessary on there. Your Babies are looking very nice now as well, congrats! And Knourgro seems to know what he is talking about, so Keep THAT Advice Flowing Knourgro!!!
