Help: Am I Ready To Flower?

OK, so I have been on my first grow for about a month now and I have two really nice bushes. My goal is to get at least one mother and then take cuttings. I just don't know when to start flowering. I have approximately 300W of CFLs for my mothers, and I plan on getting a HID for my clones. I have attached some pics. I welcome any feedback, Mainly what sex are they and should I go to 12/12 yet. I am currently running 24/0,

Can be tricky, if you let it. Here's what I've learned. Yes, start flowering now. Your plant is nice and bushy but will double and triple in size onec you start the flowering stage. Running at 24 is sometimes necessary, but for the most part, not necessary. Get those babies on 12/12, they'll appreciate it more than you'll know. If possible, a nice HPS bulb will get them flowring and showing sex in about two weeks. Your photo.s are to blurry and if you have'nt started flowering then chances are your plants are not showing their sex. They look great! Keep me posted!!!

Thanks for the quick responses. I had to use my laptop webcam for the pics. However, I will upload more tomorrow after I get my camera back from my mom. I have to also note, I let them grow on 24/0 for the first 6 weeks. I just switched them to 12/12 four days ago. I know I said differently in the above post, but I am really stoned and I forgot.

Yep, I'd say they're ready to flower. During the first four weeks of life, the plants are working hard to veg, remember to keep your light two to four feet above the plants as they grow and stick to an 18/6 during veg state. plants like every other living thing need rest. if you push them strong for 24 hrs during those first few weeks, they've worked pretty hard in those early weeks to veg and can lessen they're potency. Your plants look fantastic and remember the 915 rule. Flower at 9 to 15 inches, your plants will then grow crazy during flowering and will triple and quadruple over the final 5 to 6 weeks. Keep me posted, am very curious about the 24/0 veg cycle.

I know that I will just have to wait and see, but how long usually after switching to 12/12 before they start to show male or female? I want to figure how long I have until I need to get my HID. $$$ is kinda tight right now, so I try to plan ahead. They have been on 12/12 for 5 days. Should they show by the end of the week? OMG, they grew like 4 inches in the last day. I will post pics as they progress. I hope they are female (at least one anyway). Any thought as to species? (indica or sativa).

Well, after almost two weeks, she finally decided to show herself. Here are the pics confirming it's a female. Still waiting on the other one.

Not yet. Just the one I took the pictures of. The other one is a bit behind, and it's about 4 inches shorter. I just hope that I can tell if it is a male before it pollinates the female.

Well the other turned out to be male so I yanked it and incinerated it. Now I just need to start cloning. I will be picking up an 8 site daisy cloner next week and hopefully a dual arc HID light setup.
