can i use 4 26 watt soft white cfls that give off 1700 lumens a piece for just 4 plants that are soil grow and not letting them grow tall, they are flowering now, do u think i can use these, what would b a guess in my yielfd even tho i dont mind if my yields not big, i just want the potency

you should have a few more lights than that. that might be enough for one small plant.

you asked. if you tie em down, you can make it work with 12 lights.
it may grow the way you have it, but all the time and effort is gonna leave you with a nickle bag.
good luck tho, and keep growing, just add more bulbs each payday.

my closet didnt have any, i had to install them. get a couple lamp chords, and some y shaped splitters. you can make 1 fixture into 4 easily.
also edit: soft white wont work i dont believe. you need something with the red spectrum.

my only cfl grow i grew 2 plants with 12 lights and still only got a half ounce.
also lol at you, you got your answer for this question already, and started another thread.
no one is trying to tell you to start over, which any good grower has to do from time to time. just up the lights. even if you dont have much space, a cfl and socket isnt that big.

that mh will be hot if it has an on board ballast. keep that in mind, because you may have to change your heat ventilation.
plus that thing is huge compared to a cfl setup. you can use the mh (blue spectrum) throughout flowering, but they want hps, (red spectrum). its not strange to have blue and red present throughout a whole grow.
