Only reason an auto will usually flowers too early is stress, that cup is tiny to start with and autos dont like stress so that should of been planted in its final pot the moment the root appeared, transplant it asap then just watered very lightly until it develops its roots. Hopefully you can get that soil out in 1 piece and transplant it with little stress, give it 24 hours before watering though.
From what I see it is common for autos to flower early regardless of stress. What would you say is a normal time frame for them to begin throwing pistils?

Next time get out of that cup & into a 3gal pot sooner.
The roots probably filled the cup. so it said "Fuck it I'm ready to flower in this little ass space." basically.
exactly what i was thinking,

ran out of room

i just always put autos straight into their final pot, to prevent early flower

3 weeks is long enough for the tap root to run out of space

From what i see on other peoples grows it can vary from 3 weeks to 6 weeks but usually they are bigger which leads me to believe the pot size is the problem, if that had been in a bigger pot the roots would of grown, more nutrient uptake and you would usually expect a bit of a bigger plant. To me this is either environmental stress or just a small pot.

I got some germinating now (og kush auto) ill let you know when they start to flower, ill make a journal once they are potted anyway.

Okay too easy, seems the same from what I've seen and experienced. Although I've only popped 3 autos myself, 2 showed pistils at 3wks and the other at 2wks. They were started in their final pots, seemed slow to start but the last few weeks they've taken off.

Ohh nice, is thr OG Kush from fast buds? Will you do a log of the grow? I just planted an OG Kush seed earlier today and I have the West Coast OG auto going @6wks from fast buds that is super sticky and smelly. Cheers.

You're telling me to get it out of a cup and into a 3 gallon pot sooner. It's only 3 weeks old. I've seen seasoned growers with photo periods and autos up to five or six weeks in containers smaller than this. Look at the picture, she's healthy as can be. This has nothing to do with container size.
Here's one that was started in a solo cup 104 days ago. She was moved into a 5-gal. pot when she was smaller than yours. Her sister plant growing alongside took-off and ran like you would expect, but this girl took her good old time moving at her own pace, which seemed so damn slow I almost gave-up on her a couple times. However, I'm just too curious and kept with her. The sister plant was chopped 4 days ago and is drying. This girl is a long way from ready, but she's turned-out beautiful in-spite of my best efforts to the contrary. Hang-in there.

Oh btw, the roots on the sister plant were lovely, white and completely filled-out the 5-gal pot.

Bigger pots=bigger plants(as well as quality genetics, lighting and grower experience) when groing autos. If transplanting, i urge you to look up a thread in the auto section called"So you can't transplant autos" by McStrats. 7 to 10 days MAX is where you want to leave an auto in a solo cup unless in the solo cup contest. Good luck on future grows and take this as a learning experience.

It's unusual for an auto thread about auto's flowering too soon. Seems like it's usually someone with 10 week old autos that haven't started to flower.

Such is the world of cannabis seeds that is now dominated by unstable genetics from pollen chuckers masquerading as breeders.

Might as just finish those out in those dixie cups and start some more seeds.
