Help bud has no smell

So I harvested a Bruce banner auto by 420fastbuds. During the grow it smelt fantastic my carbon filter had no match against it. You could smell
It so far away. I let
It go 80 days and chop it. Didn’t trim anything off of it and hung it upside down on clothes rack. Turn humidifier on 55% and air to 70 degrees as I’m in the south and it’s hot as fuck running 90 degrees during day so it’s hard to get it cooler than that. After about 6 days of hanging in my tent I checked it and it literally has no smell but like an earthy smell very light smell of it. No weed smell at all? I
Put it in mason jars and let them sit in there for about a week and the smell is still earthy and not strong it gets my high for sure but don’t taste to good taste earthy as well the first couple green hits taste harsh after that it’s better. Idk? Any help would be great I got another harvest that’s about a pound or more so I don’t wanna ruin it.

Well I don’t think it was the plant as the buds smelt
Fucking fantastic on the plant but after a couple days drying it got a bad hay smell
I would say and then kinda faded and went earthy slash hay maybe. So I think I dried it
To fast or something. I think I fucked it up

Terpenes break down around 70 so you probably cooked them

Yeah that’s what I was thinking as well cause
It’s summer here and hard to keep
It cold and definitely when I’m trying to keep the room that I’m growing in cold as well is hard when you got two big lights haha but I guess I’ll shut them down for the big harvest and just run the ac to 67-69 degrees cause it was set at 70-74

I ruined my last harvest like that as well. I'm in the South and it's HOT here 98f. tried to run at 70 but probably got up to 74 at times. I don't even know how people get their dry rooms to 60 in summertime in the south.

Run my ac all day and have a high ass power bill but fuck
It I gotta do it this harvest cause I don’t wanna have a pound of harsh smoke it’ll be no good haha

Yeah but drying in a fridge the humidity is super low? So wouldn’t that fuck it up with low humidity I checked my fridge and it was like 25% or so on humidity

I don’t know. Am here in Texas and just added an ac vent to my smaller closet. Cost $150 bucks for ac guy to do. My room during heat of day was still 68-70 but only dried for 5 days and then in jars with humidty packs and after 1week of burping and taking out of jar to sit out for 30 min and back in jars and my smell is starting to rock on

I would say if heat is what killed it I would time my grows if indoors a little diff and make where harvest won’t be until sept

It was super hot here so I plastic'd off one of my ac's and kept it at 68 so it didn't run all day

Yeah I’ll just run my window unit more on this next harvest coming up in couple weeks. And I’ll not let it get above 70 and set for 68

My last grow was between 80-90 degrees. Dank shit that stones you hard. Genetics is my guess. Rhudallis messes with everything. Autos.

Bum deal man I feel ya. I can't do summer grows indoors anymore. 2nd story apartment bout impossible to get temps down to where the ladies want to be. Hello winter grow! I'm so done with this heat it really messed me up this grow and I will not recover the losses too soon. Dammit

My summer crops are always my worst crop of the year. This year I grew double in the spring and shut down for summer. I just bought some hash plant from a dispensary and it had no smell or taste either. There's a lot of that going around.

Yeah I’ll just have to say fuck summer grows anymore cause it is to hard to keep it cold to keep them terps but I guess it kinda makes me feel better knowing other people struggle with it and it ain’t something I fucked up ya know. I got 3 big photos to chop in about 2 weeks so I’m gonna let them go long as possible and hopefully it’ll cool off some before harvest.

It takes a hell of a lot of insulation to keep a room cool. I can maintain 63 degrees even in 100 degree weather, but I have 8-10 inches of closed cell spray foam on all walls and 14 inches in the ceiling..
