HELP: Burnt tops

Ok guys so I've been battling a height issue for a week or so. The plants are supposed to be short in height but are now around 5 feet tall. I have the light up about as high as I can get it in my 6ft tall tent. Two of the main colas are slightly burnt at the top. One got burnt like 4 days ago and hasn't grown since, the other I found these morning burnt about the same amount as well. Should I try and them? They are at around day 40 since sprouting and are supposed to be done in 60 days.... That would only leave 20 days for them to regrow.

Am I just fucked or should I try to top them?

Tie them down. Look up the word LST.

Do not top them, either do as Medical Grade said or get a net top of them. Your far from fucked, you're just gonna have to tinker around in there with a few ideas.

wait, are you in flowering yet?

Are you running 12-12? you should see a lot more buds if you are 40 days into 12-12

Throwing a net over them and doing some LST is your best bet.

These are Autoflowering, they are 40 days from sprouting and are supposed to be done 60days from seed (I know they usually end up going 70-80 days) They are called 60DayWonders by DNA Genetics. I've been running them on 18-6 schedule because that's what is recommended.

Will the burnt tops still grow? The one that was burnt 4 days ago hasn't grown at all.......

Definitely do some LST and tie them down. You can also run an oscillating fan over the top of the canopy try and get it pointing up a little into the hood so you can get that heat away from the tops.
