HELP!! Can these be saved?? Clones drooping, drying

Hi All,

I just started my 2nd grow....last grow was 6 months ago and turned out pretty sweet!! Here's my setup:

10' X 10' grow room in basement, 2 windows with cross-ventilation. Growing in soil-less coco mixture called Royal Gold Basement Mix, 3 gallon pots (last time I used 5 gallon but I wanted to conserve space). I have a 1000 Watt HPS but the clones I got a little early and they aren't rooted too well yet so I'm using 4 X 40 Watt flourescent tubes for now. Where I live, it's COLD right now-- I have the windows cracked half open for fresh air, but I'm also running a big space heater that keeps the temps in the room at about 70 (it gets down into the 20's and 30's at night, and with that room having only minimal ventilation from my furnace, it would be below 40 in there for sure without the space heater). Anyhow, I got some great clones from my dispensary-- 2 White Widow that came in rockwool cubes, 2 Royal Purple Kush in soil cubes, and 2 White Berry in soil cubes. When I picked up the clones I was told they had a small drink a couple hours before, so I just put them in the pots in the dry dirt (very dry, the bag was torn open a bit) and watered them about 1/3 gallon each-- is that too much?? The CFL's are as close as they can get, about 1" from the tops. Anyway, after 48 hours that I've had them now, the WW that came in rockwool is doing the best....surprising since I heard that rockwool to soil transplant is the hardest. The white berry looks pretty good except for one that is curling up pretty good and the leaves are hardening?? And the 2 RPK that were supposed to be the best look like CRAP now ;'-( They are extremely drooped over and show no new growth at all. It's been 48 hours as I've said, so I'm sure they're in some shock, but I decided to water them a little more to see if maybe I didn't give them enough the first night. We'll see later tonight if there's any improvement...what do you all think? Anything else you could recommend? Humidity is also low here, around 20-30%, so I put a couple bowls of water in the room that should help. Suggestions/advice is welcome and appreciated!! :-|

They seem a little small, and really wilted.maybe you can make some kind of dome for humidity to retain moisture.you should make sure the soil is moist before planting clones in the future.
just my past experience, i'm new to growing & in my trail & error stages..also have WW mothers & clones.

I think you are totally right....the humidity is low and the dirt was bone dry when I planted the cubes....darn!! I hope they'll recover! Maybe I'll turn the heat up a little too ;-) Thanks for the tip hardlife....does anyone else think they will survive??

Is that good enough for a humidity dome? The dry leaves are now a little wilted and have some darker coloring on them....is the bag a bad idea?? HELP!kiss-ass

The bags will help they are the best but they diffinatly will work.. Clones take water from there folliage not the stem.. so, you need to be feeding them with a mist.. several times a day.. They won't absorb water through the soil untill they are rooted which can take up to three weeks.. just depends.. anyway, good luck and hope they end up recovering..

Well they were rooted in cubes when I got them, but they were just poking out-- pretty young. So now they're in the soil and you don't think they're feeding off that or the water in the soil? A few look great, a few look crappy....not sure why. But I'm thinking about removing the bags I put over them because in the 6 hours since I did that, now the leaves are really wilted and turning dark green in spots, almost black-ish?!? This is such a science!!

And I should mist them with a little bit of nutes? Haven't done that yet, but what does everyone think??

Holy crap, water those things.LOL  Back the lights off too, til they recover. That's way more than a humidity problem, those things are thirsty as hell. Give them a good soaking, then wait and they should recover okay. Best of luck. :)

Looks to me like you need to soak those plants right after transplant then wait until almost completely dry before second watering. Mist them a couple times a day as well. If they stay wilted like that for more than a day or two I'd start over.
