Help choosing medium.

Was looking for best soiless meduim and usually see coco as the top choice but also know Pro mix HP is used alot too. Which would be best and i found 2 Pro mix bags that id like to know if i should get. 1st says it has perlite, so do i still need to buy more? Second has coco in it. Thanks. Also, good nutrs to use with this stuff? Have Fox Farms Trio hydro but almost 5 years and fear they might be bad. 32oz. bottles.

I run this mix. I used Pro Mix BX w Mycorrhizae.

Oh and Im running NFTG nutes w it

With coco you will water more and use smaller pots. Pro mix water less and bigger pots.

I use Pro mix CC with Mills nutrients supplemented with Mammoth P in flower and I'm quite happy... The Pro mix with coco dries out daily so if you can't water every day you'll need to try another medium. Best of luck!

i either use hempy buckets with 80% perlite and 20% coco, or smart pots with 70% coco and 30% perlite. i don't have to water more than every 3 days if i want, but it hurts nothing if i water more often.
