i dried it for 5 days then i moved it to jar for cure because i herd it makes it less harsh, taste, and hit better i think its supposed to even out the moisture of the bud or sumthin

yes, it makes it dry slower, unfortunately it sweats in there too. I finally made a 2x4 grow tent into a perfect drying chamber(not a humidor) with ac, dehuey, heat, meters, scale, work surface, hanging drying rack. sounds like yours are done. smoke it yet?

I like to start my cure when the buds are still wet....before the stems actually break in half when bent...curing is a big part of my final product and definitely makes a difference in the final product .....but if you start the cure with bud that's to dry, your just storing it in an air tight container....when my cure first starts I have to dump my buckets daily to wick moisture out of my nuggs.....next Time try starting your cure when the stems crack in the middle but don't snap in half...

I have a before and after of an OG nugg I cured last round... It's actually pretty neat to see the side by side difference.....so my suggestion would be to start your cure a bit sooner next time ...GL

I've heard of people using different techniques, but I don't want to tell you anything I haven't done myself.
I'm sure someone will chime in on that.

I dry in paper bags for 5 to 7 days then jar it in mason jars with 62% boveda packs and let them sit in my curing closet in complete darkness for at least three weeks.
Do you burp at all after they go into the jars? My cures have mostly sucked so far and I'm looking for something simpler and this sounds like it might be what I'm looking for.

Sounds like you live in a dry climate. whats the RH inside your home? Drying too quickly or overdrying will really ruin the overall smell/taste of your buds. We all have done it once or twice though.

Small batch curing/drying is a little different than what you might see on youtube for large harvests.
I dry my buds for a few days in the tent with the filter/fan running on low.. 3-5 days. They will feel crunchy on the exterior, but the branches won't snap.. My typical RH is 50-60% inside my house.
Then I transfer to large plastic bin or tote with a hygrometer inside to monitor humidity. When humidity goes over 70% I burp it. Repeat this process for a few days until humidity stabilizes then transfer to jars with a hygrometer inside. When humidity goes high just burp them. If they are still pretty wet lay them on a rack for a few hours.. then back into the jars.. repeat until you achieve a stable humidity around 64%..

The Boveda packs do simplify things quite bit if you use them. I have never relied on them though.. I have used them for long term storage.

If your bud is overly dry then you can place a damp paper towel on top of the jar and close the lid. Keep it there overnight then remove the paper towell. Drop your hygrometer into the jar for a few hours and see if the buds have moistened up. It works pretty well.

If you were referring to me I used to live in Louisiana and used the paper bag method. I generally have a little over 40 plants at min to dry at any given time. Home Depot has the huge paper bags for grass clippings and stuff and I generally reuse them. I do open the bags every few days and gently stir them. I have an extra stirring spoon I use for brewing beer works perfect. I built three rooms in my basement as I currently live in MI and have a dedicated 8x8x8 room just for drying I've simply love the ease of this method as opposed to hanging. The best part of the packs too are the fact they release some of the moisture inside them if things are too dry which I haven't had an issue with in several years. Plus my rooms have a zoned geothermal climatemaster setup on them so I can tune the humidity to what I want.
