Okay I have a couple of questions to ask! This is my first time and I am just learning, and I grow soil. My question is after taking a clone from the mother plant setting it up in your dome giving it 10-14 days to build up a nice root system before placing it into a 1 gallon pot how long should I leave the lights on for? Should I go 24 hours for the entire veg state, until I feel as if it has a week or so left before it should flower, and the last 7 days should my light cycle be 20 awake on 4 sleepy time hours for 3 days, and then 18 hours awake 6 sleepy time hours, and then 12/12. I have left my clones on 24 for there whole lives so far.....but thats just me....
So what did you do when you switched to flower? Did you just go 12/12 right away? Or did you go 20/4 3 days 18/6 4 days then 12/12 10 weeks.

I keep it under 4x 4' fluorescent shop light on 24-0 for the first few weeks then under metal halide at 18-6 until they reach about 10-12 inches at which time they have a nice rootball in their keg cups to be moved to 5 gallon buckets. They grow more with constant light but I spend so goddamn much on electricity I try and skimp at least a tiny bit by not running any extra time. Depends on what type of light you're using, its one of the many personal preference questions out there that doesn't really have any correct answer besides 18hr or longer a day, period.

personally i keep clones under 24hour light throughout the rooting period and also keep running 24hour until i begin flowering.....i veg with led's so the cost isnt too much
