Help deciding Number of Plants

Hey everyone so Im going to the hydro store tomorrow and wanted to pick up some pots. I have a 22"x19" grow space with maybe 2-3 feet for the plant to grow with a 400w hps.

To maximize yield should I grow 4 plants in 8 inch pots, 9 plants in 6 inch pots, 12 plants in 5 inch pots, or 20 plants in 4 inch pots? or maybe just straight to flower in dixie cups?

any feedback would be great. Im planning on SOG method and maybe topping depending on how many pots ill have. and also is there a preference in white or black pots?

1 plant 1 hydrofarm will yeild more and be easier to maintain.

Black pots so that no light is on your roots, I hear this damages them. Why not do a SCROG? Higher yield in smaller space. 22 x 19 will give you about a 4 by 4 plant grow room. I would say you want at least 1 square foot per plant roughly. And maybe it might be easier then having seperate pots per plant pssibly get a tray and do a flood and drain sort of system as it would probably work out well for your small space.

Cool thanks yea i have 4 set up right now but i was just wondring if i would yield morewith more plants. I think 4 fits well in this setup and i dont have to buy a bunch of clones. I was looking into a hydro setup i just heard its hard to keep control of temps in the water tank. I jut ordered my 400w hid so want to see what my temps would be like firat

4 of these 3 gal aeration pots would be perfect for your setup, I can't believe the difference they make. Healthy, robust, fast growth, and they can be used in hydro, when you make the switch.
