Regarding Epsom salts yes just stirred in, I use a small amount in every gallon of water

I agree this is the best way to “reset” the medium and get things going well again.

Ph is 7.0. I use Miracle grow tomato when in flowering. I've tried other shit before but the plants with miracle always turn out bigger fatter buds. I've used fox farm before. In fact, the fox farm nutes are all the way in the back of the cupboard half full still. It would take some serious bending over and reaching and a rag to wipe the dust off too just to use the foxfarm. lol.

You’re welcome. When I get nutrient confused I actually like grow weed easy dot com for pics and explanations.

Always seems to get me back on track.

They have a page on nitrogen, calcium, magnesium balance too.

op mentioned burnt tips and i saw a few of them turning down.. throw in the red petioles and I just thought Id mention it.. a buddy had a crazy ph swing and he got spots within a few days when the P got locked out... after stems turned purple and tips started going down. but op ph sounds right

It’s all related. But nitrogen, calcium, mag balance or blockage from too much of one is usually the catalyst if we start with a good mix or balanced nutes.

Your comment is why I looked it up. I get confused between those often.

Fortunately we all need to do pretty much the same thing. Wash out the buildup and add balanced nutes to get them back on track.

I thought we shouldnt use miracle grow as they used slow fertilizer release which mean you cant control the nutrient available to your plant- you risk under/over feeding them.. you better have full control on when and how much nutes you give your plant.. just my 2 cent.. not saying it doesnt work

I think you mean not to use the miracle grow soil with the fertilizer pellets. Says feeds plant for 3 or 6 months. That can be too hot.

The fertilizer is a bit cheaper made and less complete than some but should work fine.

There is a common warning about it containing heavy metals. But I don’t know if that is even true.

Its fertilizer that you mix with water... not the soil with slow release stuff.

I really don't have any negative issues using it, but i have heard it's bad for Mj. Not sure why tho.

We have grown delicious tomatoes with regular miracle grow powder fertilizer. The key to any fertilizer is to only give just enough. Overfeed with any nutes and get bad results.

I have never used more then half the recommended dose. I've heard its strong. I start them out with 1/4 doses. To be honest i use it because i'm cheap, and once i tried it i never had anything to complain about. seems to make plants bigger then other stuff i tried. Maybe i need to try more stuff to be fair. idk. anyways, i'm rambling. Happy smoking to ya!

i've heard a lot of bad shit about miracle grow, and i've never tried to use it for growing weed, but its always seemed to grow good tomatoes and nice flowers....don't see why you couldn't grow weed with it

I would try Jacks classic for powder nutes. They have the best reputation it seems.

i use jack's 20-20-20 for veg, and jack's citrus for flower. get nice results at 1/3 the price of bottled nutes.

I was going to try the classic duo. Jacks intructs to mix or alternate the all purpose 20-20-20 and the bloom mix for more prolific flowering.

But it does seem citrus has what we need.

I keep sticking with pure Blend Pro Grow all the way through as it works so well with my water and ocean forest.

i did the weight measurements for quite a while, but after using the stuff for a while, i've gotten to using measuring spoons. during veg in a 5 gallon bucket, i'll add 1 tbsp of calcium nitrate, let that dissolve good, then a half tbsp of epsom salts, then 2 tbsp of 20-20-20 and that comes out very close to 300 ppm. once i switch after the stretch, its 1/2 tbsp of calcium nitrate, 1/2 tbsp of epsom salts, and 5 tbsp of jack's citrus, which comes out very close to 600 ppm
