Help!! DWC seedlings dying

This is my first hydro grow. Ak48 seeds started by paper towel method. 20 seeds germed, all sprouted, 15 planted. Used 1 inch rockwool cubes presoaked in 5.5 ph bottle water for 3 hours. Once planted in rockwool cubes coved with hydroton, placed on heating pad set on low with humidity dome. All seeds sprouted and healthy looking. After three days placed into DWC setup, removed humidity dome.

Some seedlings have withered and died after being placed in setup. Roots have barley emerged from the rockwool in net pots, have not entered water yet. I've been feeding water from the top 1-2 times a day as needed. Feed a very dilute solution of foxfarm big bloom once, a very minimal amount.

11 of the 15 sprouts still look pretty healthy. The ones that have died did so quickley in a matter of hours. Their stems become week, fell over, withered and died.

Using florescent lighting, 5.5-6.0 ph bottled water. no nutes except as stated above. Large fan on low.

Any expert advice is appreciated.

Wow man sorry to see that .. To wet for sure.. Should have lowered ur water levels and allowed the survivors wool to dry out.. Classic case of overreaction here..Im very sorry bro.. Wool sux anyway..Try using peat plugs next time.. Ive lost plenty dont sweat it..But many things could have contributed to ur loss..

Get some plugs and germ some seeds. Ill walk u thru it.

Thanks for the input

Temperature was not the problem. It was around 75 degrees most of the time. After taking the remaining sprouts off the setup, placed the tray on cups raised 6 inches above heat pad, so not to get burned.

To late i guess.

All i could do was laugh and say what the fuc k.

I got plenty of seeds so im gonna figure this out.

If the top layer of rocks is staying wet its over watering.
Lower your res then run it to see if the top layer stays dry.
Leave the plants in your germination tray till you can see the roots comeing out the bottom then put them in and hand water till the roots grow a few inchs into the res.

Good luck buddy:eyesmoke:

Are you planning on growing them through flower in that?
From my personal experience you need a deeper res or less pots in about 40 days the roots will take up alot of space and the plants will drink it all in a day.
Also the bigger your res the less the ph will change

gem seeds put in rock wool under hum dome on heat pad on med setting. once 1/2 seeds are up and have first leaves out remove dome but keep in the tray over pad and use only water once you have a bunch of roots starting to poke through the rock wool then put it in your system on 1/4 strength nuts..you should be fine if you follow that.. if your leaves start to yellow at any time you may give it very small amount of nutes something with N as in 15-0-0(just example)
