Help Estimate Yield Expectancy!

So after almost a year of searching, I have found the perfect location to get started.
The flowering room is 8 feet wide x 10 feet long. Im planning to run 2k watts (400 x 5)
Using proper Indica dominant genetics growing in coco and a solid setup
What sort of yield can I expect from a room that size?

Also any input advice would be much appreciated

Depends on experience, strain, luck, and setup. Ultimately, there's too many variables. The best you could hope for is someone growing the same strain under similar conditions and extrapolate from there. I'd worry less about yield, and more about nailing down growing indoors. Do everything you can to keep your plants healthy, and the rest shall come. Don't worry yourself with counting your chickens before they've even been laid, much less hatched.

mmm i would recommend u go for 600watters more lummens than 400... if u LST and veg a plant for 2 months,.. u might get betwen 2.5oz to 5 or even 6 if very good LST with 5 gallon at least

Im not as much of a novice as I come across, Ill also be getting mentored by someone very experienced. Was just wondering whats a rough range a size of that room can produce with an ideal setup/genetics

It depends mostly on how many plants and how big they are going to be grown to. Also if you will be training them (SCROG, LST, etc..) or any other techniques like SOG. I doubt the entire space will be just for flowering plants. Will you have a veg area in the room? What other equipment do you have in the room? You say you are not a newb but that is a pretty newb question considering you basically give us little to no information.

Also, why 5 400w lights? If you plan on growing taller plants then get 600w lights. Your lights should match up to the footprint that your plants require. Not the footprint of the room. Seems like a really odd number of lights to have.

well, .25 grams a watt up to 2 grams a watt.
Of all the grows I have ever seen the only time I've ever seen 2gpw is with those stadium vertical grows. You ever seen anyone get 2gpw on a horizontal grow or any other way? Maybe a REALLY experienced SOG grower. Not sure though. That's basically 4lbs. off a 1000w light.

oh lawd. show me the way

An easyer way for people to look at is 8x10 = 80sq ft ... 1 plant per sq ft SOG ..... so 80oz is easy to achive witch gives you 2240 grams 1.12Grans per Wtt .. run some CO2 and some PGR's and you could get 2oz per plant (something like PPP Clones Vegged 14days ) 160oz // 4480grams (2.24GPW) it's not so hard to get 2grams per wtt if you know what your doing ... prob looking at a 10week flower

Just a warning PGR's such as ROX and SuperBud will inprove yeild by around 30-70% but will lower the quilty of the smoke by 10-20% an it's linked with health problems not something i would want to be using on persy smoke, i only added it into my comment as shit like this is needed if you want to hit 2gpw without doing a horizontal grow or growing 4plants per sq ft

First off you would need 4000w to light an area that size so you GPW is way off. Secondly, I know what I am doing and there is no way you are getting 2.24gpw on a horizontal grow; you aren't getting a 70% increase from Co2 and PGR's; and you aren't getting 2oz. from 14 day veg SOG grows.

Please show me ANYONE that is getting 2gpw from a horizontal grow. It doesn't exist. I grow horizontally and I admit there are millions of guys out there who are a LOT better then me. But none of them are hitting those numbers. Where are you getting your information from? The reason you need it to be a vertical grow to push those numbers is that in a horizontal grow you are essentially only using half of a bulbs direct light and you are only using 30% of the bulbs parameters. In a vertical grow; especially a stadium grow; you are using the full 360 degress field of the bulb.

Check this thread out. This is the best gpw I have ever seen. If you think you know what you are doing and can get better results then this then please let post a journal or a link. If you can get 1.5gpw+ from a horizontal grow then I'll gladly pay you very well to come and show me how. https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/149998-heaths-flooded-tube-vertical.html
