A pix would help, but if it just happened in the last 8 hours.
Tape it back together with some duct tape.
It will heal itself in a few days.

Duct tape it and move on. You will see a few fan leaves above the break yellow out as it uses them for resources untill repair begins. Dont think it as a deficiency . Best of luck.

Try to clamp it together as much as you can without smashing it...I use folder clamps...
Then wrap with plastic tape, the strechy kind.. You may have seen it in stores, it's used for marking by surveyors and other purposes. Used this method last year following thunderstorms and down bursts which broke down several plants, and it worked great. It will eventually stick back together but will never regain its previous strength. I have not used duck tape but would be afraid it would not allow plant stem to expand as it grows.
Good Luck

Yep tape together and keep going make sure you cover the whole split don't want bacteria Crawling in there and infecting the plant. Good luck!

I have a roll of caulk used for windows for just that... it’s is pliable like clay but will not harden for some time. So you can repair the plant and it will move/expand as the plant grows. Works very well and the caulk ribbon can be broken up length wise for all you size need. I got a roll at Walmart for a few bucks, a life time supple. Duck Brand Window Caulk 35 foot roll is in a small box the size of a post card.

Good answers it can be salvaged at least and at best, it couldd end up stronger if you fix it right. I use thin wire and wrap it around the break similar to what the spring in a pen looks like. Its never not worked for me.
