HELP! First Grow - Auto Critical Kush CFL Coir

Hey guys, first time posting around here, and hopefully not my last. If I can get this issue sorted out, I'll be sure to start a journal as I continue my journey.
It's my first time growing and I was on a very tight budget.

Right now I'm running a single plant (feminized auto critical kush) in 70/30 coir/perlite. Haven't started nutes yet, I'm on day 6 and I've started to notice these little yellow spots. Is this a nitrogen issue? Splash burn? Some kind of insect?

I'm growing in a shed. I've got a reflective wall of survival blankets surrounding the plant which is sitting under 2 150 watt equivalent daytime CFLs. They're about 3 inches away, because I got scared maybe I was burning the leaves (even though I don't feel any heat).

https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/721368-update-my-lil-girl.html im using hypnoex soil and this is my first cfl grow 2 23 watt lights on her and this is day 4 of growing planted her saturday.... i only spray water her once a day with a few squirts... its could be nitrogen maybe too much heat on her.... i keep my lights 2-4 inches away and shes growing healthy as ever...

if the new growth looks good then you're good to go. easy on the water. i also use a mist bottle for misting seedlings. just keep the soil moist but not wet. good to hear she's looking better. GL

The second post wasn't me. When I did my first watering I gave her a full 20% run-off worth. I suppose that wasn't the right idea. I've only watered her once since then, and not nearly as much. I'll switch to a spray bottle. Anything else?

yea 2nd post was me was showin him what i use and how diff these oyung ladies look from eachother mine is 4 days old and is bigger than his as 6 jus tshowing him and tellin him what worked for me and what might be wrong for his plant.... when you watered for the 20% run off did you have the seedling in the soil as well????

Coco doesnt have any nutes in it so it is usually best to use a small very small amount of nutes for your plant. I dont recommend starting in that if it is your first grow. You will want more Watts dont go off of the equivalent wattage but actual wattage. You will also probably want to put it not in the shed so that you can get them in a controlled environment.

It was 4 days in, so yeah. Could I have drowned the roots?

No other option for environment right now, otherwise I'd be doing it inside my house with proper intake/outtake etc.
The CFLs are 32w each, totalling around 4200 lumens right now, and I plan on adding more as the plant progresses.
I'm fine with easing 1/8th strength in on the nutes until I find a sweet spot, but I'm not sure if I'll even get to that point at this rate. The plant definitely doesn't look healthy.

Any suggestions as to the problem?

i soaked my soil first over night when i saw my tap root when i germinated. let it sit over night to run the water out and than planted... my girl is 4 days old and just about the same size as yours... you mightve drowned her...

This would cause root rot, correct? Is there any remedy for this? Will the plant survive regardless?

im not sure im a newbie at growing indoors.. id look up some stuff on google or something.... it could be too much direct heat on her too...

I think if you only did this once, one over watering will not cause root rot. These plants will pretty much grow themselves. I have seen it myself, found some plants growing by my trash can lol guess thats where dumpster weed comes from. Just take it easy, i wouldnt give any nutes at all at this point. Let it get a little more established roots. Also temps will most likely be a problem.

Thanks for the reassurance. I did only do it once, so I'm gonna' leave the plant be for a few days and see how things progress. Temps low or high? It never reaches over 24 degrees celsius in there, and hasn't dropped below 12. I'm under the assumption that this is at least acceptable? I could heat the room if necessary.

I think you will need to heat it as it gets colder. but dont put the heat right on the plant. If its not insulated you may have a problem with this. That is about perfect temps. So if it stays that way your safe. Just let it grow out, dont water unless the dirt feels dry. misting the plant is probably a good idea, once it dries out a little. Dont sweat it if it dies, its just a little seedling. I knew someone that grew several plants there first grow, and as they got larger they just cut the smaller ones out and kept the best growing plant. This may be a good strat for you, this way if one dies its no biggie, atleast until its got a few nodes.

Thanks for your help, I'm feeling a bit better about it now. I do have 4 more seeds to play with. I was hoping for a good grow on my first run, but we'll see. If I were to try 2 on my next attempt, would you suggest adding additional CFLs? Hopefully she'll make it through but I suppose we'll see.

I would suggest additional cfls no matter what. I have grown on cfls but i had 8, i think they were 100 watt equivalents. And for budding i switched 4 of the bulbs to 300 watt equivalents. When it comes down to budding you will deffinatly need more light. And for vegging they will stretch out alot without more light. I would get more lights asap. even with just one plant. And no problem, always happy to help new growers, especially good mannered ones.
