First time on my own using some indoor tents 6 foot tall.

I vegged way too long and they are at the point where they are too tall and they just entered flowering.

I've tried supercropping and training but it's not enoguh. I want them to finish but at this size I had to put some chicken wire to keep them from getting to close to my 600w hps. I'm about to the point of chopping them and seeing what happens to the lowerhalf.

any suggestions theyarefirstweekofflowering no real bud growth
sorry about typingmy space bar is broken

im not sure what to do but i would try tying them down a little so that light would be more on one side of the plant. thats probably what i would do before trying anything else like topping.

Get them out of the tent maybe? Just move the whole setup into a spare room where you have more height to work with. If that's not an option, then your best bet is to try a late LST. Next time you'll know to plan for height.

Listen to jesus, you might have to do some work but cutting them in half or whatever your thinking is not an option brother.

You could try suspending your light virtically rather than horizontally and turn the plant every few days. So that your light is hanging down in the centre of all the plants.

I terminated :( too far gone for my first grow. They were too big to manage and so early into flowering that they were going to take way too long.

I have 17 babies from them though and are going to not let them get as big this time. they are sativa dom. strain thinking about scrog'ing

I have two grow tents and I'm having issues with heat in the smaller of the two
I looked at in unit ac units but i'm not liking having to drop 500 bucks on cooling.
is there a cheaper way without using outside ventilation. I"m in a basement in a dense urban environment. I own the home but would like to keep the enviroment contained as people walk the sidewalks fairly frequently

there are a few things you could do.

1. AIRCOOLED REFLECTORS. these do not have to be vented outside, just away from your growing space
2. AC you already mentioned
3. ICE FLOW. this hooks up to your light reflector and cools the air and pushes it back inside your room . with this you need Co2.
