HELP!!! first timer needs complete help!!!

so then would it be best to put it in a closed closet? i have this gigantic air filter that i used cause i used to smoke cigarettes in my room and it was like a motel industry sized monster thing. i figure it'll filter out any dust n stuff and it blows the fresh air out so it will circulate. any thoughts on this?

yes, hang them upside down in a closed closet, open the door maybe once or twice per day to allow fresh air to come in. when u check them make sure U dont have any mold or anything.

dont use a fan bcuz it will dry out the buds too fast and they will have a poor smoke, taste and aroma. remember, the longer u let them dry the better they will smoke.

like VV said, light breaks down the THC in the crystals so its best to leave em in the dark.

dont over complicate it, just hang em in a dark well-ventilated room (open the door once a day) and you'll be fine.

in about a week when they're done drying, put them in a plastic shopping bag to cure. make sure that no air gets into the bag, and no air gets out.

ok so no fan it is. also, how long do i put them in the ziplock bag for? i was going to vaccum seal it for a longer storage time, should i do the zip lock first and then vaccum seal it? or will that be two birds with one stone kind of deal?

its up to you how long U wanna cure, the longer the better

ziplock wasnt what I had in mind, like I said a plastic bag from a grocery will do fine for short term storage, but if U have a vaccum sealer that will work even better.

if ur still confused, id recommend U just focus on drying properly for now. there are great resources in our growfaq on drying and curing that will help U get the best outta ur buds.

we need more pictures, this is very fun to follow

i have a SLR camera and a macro lens (photo-buff) so i do plan to take good pictures of the plants. i want to get pics of the buds after i trim all the leaves off. i'll do a step by step of what i do, post pics, and you guys can tell me how badly i mutilated it. heh. hopefully not too badly (with all your wonderful help)

so far my plan is to hang in my closet up side down for about a week (still soft and squishy?)
then i'm going to put in paper bags in my closet for about 3 to 4 days (til root almost snaps right off)
then i'm going to put in the jars with the rubber seal and airtight lock (in my closet) and open once a day to 'burp'
once it looks plenty dry and they're not 'sweating' anymore then i will put them in vaccum sealed bags until i want to smoke them.

does anyone see any flaws in my general plan? or any advice or something that i could improve on?

now remember dont laugh too hard on my pictures cause this was a fluke after all and i'll prolly only need one bag/jar. i'm somewhat envious of these huge beautiful plants that i'm seeing on the posts. . . but no matter. i'm not an every day smoker so what i have will last me plenty.

if u want the max thc and flovor out of those buds, you have to hang you buds up in a %100 dark room for around 7-9days. after that get glass jars that seal and fill 2/3s full and open those jars for 3min 3times a day for a week. and you will have sum cured buds to smoke. enjoy and good luck
